I met a Jiyala just yesterday. These guys live in a world of there own, where zardari is the best leader pakistan has ever produced.

Hassan Nisar is never happy! He seems like an honest individual but i don't think it is possible to ever make him happy.

HN sometime's over-reacts to news... some news you take as a grain of salt, and try to continue with the bigger picture, come to a cautious stand, and then when nothing seems to be going with the bigger picture, you make a stand... he just explodes immediately at times... basically in this stance, instead of going all out/nutty he should give a word of caution that this may prove costly etc etc...

nothing will stop the tsunami of a positive change that awaits Pakistan on May 11th...

Can anyone post a video of Nawaz sharif clearly outlining his domestic and foreign policies?

All I know is he likes to give out laptops and is against the pipeline to keep the yanks happy.

read in some tweet that office window/glass was broken due to over crowding and not by workers.

since you are from isb, what's the mood there? People there are educated, so I am hoping they are tilting towards PTI
 
PTI hi PTI ho rahi hai urban area's mein...

hopefully they go to the rural areas... pinds/chaks/ etc... thats where there presence is needed.

I am in lahore these days,but i have many friends in Pindi/Isbd....They are quite passionate about PTI as well....

Although in the constituency of Tariq Fazal chaudhry ,there are dharas because of more rural area...but other constituency NA-48 is quite dharra/baradari free but JI have a strong candidate namely Mian Aslam ,he is popular and a difficult candidate for PTI...

I think it will be between PTI and JI in NA-48 Makhdoom Hasmi vs Mian Aslam....

But in other constituency N league and joint candidate of PPP and PMLQ. are also quite strong

Watched Imran Khan interview on SAMAA today....It was very entertaining stuff from Imran...:))

And he shared the same views which i have expressed about Zardari and Sharifs here with you guys...He repeatedly called Sharif brothers dramabaz....he said that Zardari is what he presents himself,There is no difference between Sharifs and Zardari as both have their assets abroad,both have lavish lifestyles and both hide their taxable income.....


Exactly what i have been saying that Zardari ka moto hai k ao mil kr looten ,aur mian brothers kehte hein hm akela hi lootein.....

Imran also said that after 18th amendment CM Punjab had more resources and responsibilities than PM...But they only did dramabazi by introducing schemes of laptop,youth festivals etc...he also accused mian sahb of dramabazi on Musharaf issue..
 
I saw Imran Khan on CNN with Christian Amanpour a while back is he still running for the elections?
Do people in Pakistan take him/his political party seriously?

Leadership is often overlooked by political scientists when they are analysing historical trends, defining paradigms and charting political economies. But the personality of a leader can actually have a more lasting impact on how things are remembered than any number of statistics.

In Pakistan, for example, the election scheduled for May 11 this year, could see the coming to power of a charismatic leader with potential international stature, if Imran Khan’s party gains the majority vote, as is widely expected.

A victory for Imran Khan would herald a new era in South Asian history and a new leadership style and substance that reverses the usual story. Born in Pakistan and having received the best education, Khan became a cricket hero and a society celebrity before turning his back on fame to become a serious politician and philanthropist.

Wholly committed to the future of the people of Pakistan, he represents the force for change that Pakistan has been waiting for, reflected by the drop in approval ratings to 14% of the last President, Zardari.

Khan does not have a military past to relinquish, nor will he be dazzled by fame and fortune as he has already lived a life of wealth and privilege; cosmopolitan and sophisticated, yet at ease in simple cotton clothes while caring for his farmland, he is comfortable in his own skin and sure of his own faith and destiny.

Aware that his country is suffering from a corrupt government and a floundering economy, he has called on the best national and expatriate minds to help craft his policies for the future with teams of experts helping to write his reform agenda.

He plans to restructure institutions and infrastructure, solve the energy crisis, spur economic growth, reform the legal system and improve public safety. This is certainly an ambitious agenda but one that can be achieved given national and political will. He also believes that the sectarian and ethnic violence in the country can be ended, by distancing Pakistan from international politics and dealing with terrorism as a national problem.

Outspoken against the US drone strikes in the north, he sees them as counter-productive, feeding anti-Americanism and turning more people towards the militants.

The potential loss of US aid is not a factor, as it is widely known to be propping up the current political structure, helping to keep it in power.

Without international aid, Pakistan will be forced to make reforms and become a more independent and democratic country.

Imran Khan’s vision for his country is similar to that of other rising leaders in Muslim countries where colonialism has been replaced by corrupt dictators and authoritarian military leaders, intent on maintaining their own power and prosperity to the detriment of their people.

The Arab Spring has shaken their complacency and their overthrow has provided opportunity for a new aspect of politics in countries such as Egypt and Libya and soon, hopefully, Syria.

Nobody thinks the transitions will be fast or easy.

But, Imran Khan could well become the new paradigm for people-centered politics. Nationalistic, centrist, pragmatic, intellectual and faith-based, new leaders like Imran Khan are the best hope for their countries and the rising generations asking for change.

All eyes will be on Pakistan’s election on May 11 and will be hoping for free and peaceful voting with the result the people of Pakistan deserve.

I asked my family to vote for pti in 1997... (pti was founded in '96)

however now I oppose pti's terrorists pleasing stand.
plus, ik is a slow learner...and politics is for shrewd people...
even in last two months ik made so many blunders...and i hate pti losing again and again and again :bangladesh

Detractors of candidates will face action: Imran

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has asked party office-bearers to mend their ways and support ticket-holders in election campaign.

The party will take action for violating party discipline against those office-bearers, who will not be found supporting ticket-holders within three days.

The PTI chief`s message was made public by party`s Punjab president Ejaz Chaudhry, who is looldng after election campaign across the province, at a news conference at party`s media office on Monday.

Mr Chaudhry said he had withdrawn his nomination papers on the directions of party chief despite the fact that his papers were accepted by the returning officer concerned.

The PTI Punjab president said the party tickets hadbeen awarded on merit while considering district and provincial parliamentary boards.

He said party`s 35 per cent tickets had gone to youth and added that PTI`s 80 per cent candidates were contesting general elections for the first time in their lives. He said the PTI candidates in Punjab included 10 barristers, 55 LLB degree holders, 10 doctors and seven engineers.

Announcing PTI chief Imran Khan`s election campaign schedule in the province, Mr Chaudhry said party chief Imran Khan was facing life threats but still going ahead with party election campaign across the country.

He said Imran Khan would hold election rally from Lahore to Renala Khurd as well as arrange public meetings in Okara, Sahiwal and Chichawatni on Tuesday (today).

The PTI chief will hold aseries of public meetings in Shahkot, Sheikhupura and Pattoki (April 24), Pakpattan, Lodhran and Vehari (April 25), Jalalpur, Peeranwala, Mian Channu, Kabirwala and Muzaffargarh (April 26), Bahawalpur, Khanpur, Khan Bela, Sadiqabad and Rahim Yar Khan (April 27), Attock, Chakwal and Jhelum (April 29), Mianwali (April 30), Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin and Gujrat (May 2), Chiniot, Sargodha, Jhang and Faisalabad (May 5), Narowal, Kasur, Sialkot and Multan (May 6), Traders Convention and rally in Lahore (May 7), rally from Shahdra, Lahore, to public meeting venue in Gujranwala (May 8) and rally from Gujranwala to Rawalpindi, Islamabad, via G.T. Road on May 9.

The election campaign will culminate with Imran Khan`s address to a mass public meeting in Islamabad.

N League's disgruntled 5 times MNA has announced to support Brig (retd) Mumtaz Kahlon of PTI against N league's Haji Akram Ansari ,another 5 time MNA for NA-85 Faisalabad....

And it is an urban constituency..

Sahiwal is known for dairy farming and of having cows/baffloes of fine bread....

Mian sahb has opened a dairy form near chiniot or Jhang,,,We all know what happened to poultry industry after Hamza Shahbaz entered in this industry......

Mera halqa :-) Haji Akram Ansari is such a useless creature but keeps on winning just because he is ANSARI. I don't know much about PTI candidate but he should fancy his chances as this is urban constituency and there are quite a few educated people but i haven't seen much PTI activity in Faisalabad so not sure about our presence which is sad considering there are 11 NA seats on offer and it has not been a stronghold of PMLN.
