Right, lead of 256 so far, when do we think Inzi will declare ?
After they both get their centuries ? (Inshallah) or at lead of 300 ?

Pak needs to up the scoring rate here - they need 350+ before they declare so that they can attack with ease.

Given our current record - I think we will struggle to set more than 300 today - lets see - some guys like Inzi and Razzaq need to do launch fireworks here

MoYo got hit on the helmet on a bouncer which didnt boucne as much and he took his eyes off. 215-2
 
Waisay special word of praise for M Hafeez too....He is playing the same role as Tauseef did in Miandad's finest hour!

Yah MIG you're right about the run rate, they need to send someone in next who can tee-off, and score a few quickly. Maybe Razzi in One day mode ?

I would like Hafeez to get his 100 but he cant do it at snails pace - Either MoYo should now step up

believe me, he's got a LOT more big fans than just me and UJ.

100 partnership about to come up as Lara brings Shiv into the attack. These 2 should get after him.

Yo Yo has broken another record in this series. player to be stranded the most number of times in 190s. he did it 3 times (all this year)
 
Yousuf with another 4. Right , back to bed for half an hour so I think.
Hopefully when I wake up agian , Hafeez will have got his century and Moyo will be nearer his.

Congrats again to Yousuf, an immnese achievment by a class player.
 
Thats the problem with this record shcord... People forget that the objective is to WIN the match for Pakistan ! MoYo had a significant record to play for but now if he starts worrying about his next 100 or 200 and Hafeez gets into a go slow before getting to his 100...then why bother playing for Pak ?
 
And to think someone was trying to tell me MoYo can't score at different rates. He's scored 70 off 86 on a pitch where grafting is the name of the game.
 
oh man.....If i was Yousuf i would have layed back and relaxed and thought about how i'll be greated in the dressing room but this guy is FLYING as if nothing ever happened!

I haven't seen too much where it has affected Pakistan's progress. They would've played like this before too.
 
MIG moyo happens to be in a full attacking mode so hopefully they won't be slowing down again

Pakistan team should have given MoYo honor of bats. Like the one WI gave Lara when he got the 400. I would have like to see that sight.

the best apart about M Yousuf's batting in this particular series has been that all his innings have had significent importance!
 
Good run rate in that session. 3.7 per over. They need to really step it up next session though.

I hope Yousuf isnt too reckless because a ton # 9 will be great especially considering the fact that Ponting is right behind and he(ricky) still has 3 more test matches this year
 
OK if MOYO score 146 more ,he will be 1800 runs for the year and Ponting will have max of 6 inning to score 746 runs ..................... I don't think the english will let him score a ton every inning.............. MOYO's record is set for another 40-50 yrs.Inshallh it will.
 
he should play slowly till he gets a 100

then go all out attack mode

we can even get 500 run lead by tea time and inzi would surely declare then

questioning the quality of bowlers MOYO had faced to get the record ,also that none of MOYO's innings were against AUS or NZ.
 
someone needs to remind these W Indian comms that Viv never faced bowling from his own team mates in a test match....so does that tarnish his record too?

AUS and NZ bolwing attack of 1976 ,they think that the likes od Lilee ,thompson ,hedlee and other likes them would made impossible for MOYO to equal the record.
 
Pakistan is going along at just under 3 an over, thanks to Yousuf's strike rate of 76. I hope Hafeez really picks up his own strike rate (currently 38) if/when he gets his century.

just hope this innings by hafeez leads him to bigger and better things and not go straight downhill like many have done in the past.

after the next wicket falls it would be nice if razzaq came in and batted like he does in ODIs.

it was getting a bit annoying but before that they also praised yousuf no ends on the sort of form he has showed esp dujon. i dont think any malicious intent was at play they were just presentng the facts. i think u expect them to sing praises of pak team all the time.

I think no dramatic change will come to this rate - we will bat until close to end of day ! Inzi is afraid of a Lara Special.
 
well done hafeez ... this guy has the temperament and mental strength that our other openers do not have !!
