Pakistan (143/2) clinch a historic ODI series win with a commanding 8-wicket victory over Australia (140) in the 3rd ODI, securing the series 2-1

Bowlers have been spot on in all three games. Which never happens for Pakistan but for some reason they adjusted perfectly to the conditions straightaway
May be that Asad Shafique role of coming with the team to Aus just to check the weather and pitch to decide the playing XI could really be a thing after all

It’s not a triggered response I am not arguing if Carey, Marsh and Head are better. They are. But it’s Australia’s prerogative to select who they think is their best team if one or 2 players are missing. One can also argue that Fakhar, Imam, Iftikhar and Shadab have better numbers than Saim, Abdullah, Irfan, and Kamran. There are no excuses for Aus folding for 164 and now 140 odd today. Learn to give credit where it’s due.
Pak picked their players.

Australia couldn't pick them due to paternity leaves. Carey is probs the only missed opportunity.

Suddenly Shaheen got his rhythm back. No wonder he had lost all confidence under bobby

I would honestly rest or rotate Shaheen Nasim Rauf for t20. Zero value in these t20 when main next target is south Africa tests and biggest thing being champions trophy odi.
But Shaheen won't listen even after this game he was saying will be fine for t20.
Cannot risk getting them injured like Nasim before 2023 odi wc.

Good bowler this Johnson. Is he in the Test squad also? With his hight and bounce he could be really dangerous.

If we are to be glass half empty, an absolutely golden opportunity missed to inflict a 3-0 whitewash.
Pakistan were psychologically intimidated by the Australian outfit in the first game based on us being their bunnies in the past, but running that game close exposed Australia as a vulnerable side that could be beaten, plus Rizwan has been very good.

Even in a T20 match this should be an easy chase.

Good start.. Not smashing one but still a good start... That pitch has some pace in it..

I think toss has played a big role for Pakistan. Australia would have bowled first as well on that pitch and things could have been different then, who knows.

Outfield sure is very slow. Saim seems to have gained some confidence from his last innings... playing a lot more aggressive early on.

Johnson is looking good though. Getting decent pace and seam movement. Looks like one of he future

Aussies on SM are perplexed as to why they've opened with Stoinis rather than Morris/Abbott
Morris I can understand. He has alot of pace that can be hard to control and can give the opposition alot of extra runs. But it makes zero sense to give an over-the-hill dibbly dobbbler like Stoinis the new-ball over Abbott.

Never said that. Nor implied it. Will be an issue going forward though. Fines upon fines
Hope other umpires will not be calling out wides after wides when atleast a quarter of them were not, or at worst very close. All the extra bowls take time to bowl again.

Abbott is on now Shafique hits him through the covers

I'm turning off the tv. Pakistan has won this. No point in watching now.

Looked clsoe

Never underestimate Pakistan's ability to implode from a strong position
Saim is going back to his suicidal mode again, doing best to give his wicket away. Just needs to play time and match is easily won.

Pakistan lucky to survive so far... lots of close chances for Aussies so far. Still a very difficult pitch to bat on.

Saim has struggled with bounce a bit so far which is very understandable.

Abdullah has looked in control though

Abdullah failing in Australia as a certain genus predicted

fix your spelling and Yes that's the only thing I agree with.

I am a genuis. Abdullah Shafique, Rizwan, Abrar, Wasim Jnr and any of these frauds who have been advocated by Misbah. All these players will fail and your hype will end in tears.

Vaugn: "Saim Ayub slipped on the crease, that's usually a Haris Rauf thing to do."

I would prefer Saim to play more carefully and focus on scoring a solid fifty. Back to back fifties would do wonders for his confidence. Given the low total, there's no need to take unnecessary risks.

All our 4 pacers have considerable experience of playing in Aus now and it has shown
