Why cant you say something positive lol. Have some faith. This aussie attack isn't anything special. It's not like mcgrath and Warne are playing. Cummins is good but he does the same thing all day. Bounce bounce and then some full length balls. Rest are all hittable and mostly home bullies.
iam positive but have seen too many times

Shaheen was the main reason for us letting Aussies 400 plus.

New guy bowled so much better.

Although expensive.

Shaheen never took proper time off. Even after his knee injury, he returned after just 2 months to which a lot of experts expressed disbelief. Ofcourse that didn't end well and he got injured for long then.

Call it greed or pressure to not appear 'dhokebaaz' or selfish by not playing for his country (the fans are to blame too), Shaheen has badly abused his body.
So he is finished then? If he takes time off now he should be ok I presume. A good 6 months off.

Tiring them for the whole series.
You need good batsmen for that. It's easy when your batsmen score big on a flat patta and your bowlers get so much rest. Then they put you in to bat and the tired legs, fatigue builds up which causes our players to play with poo4 concentration thereby giving away wickets.

This pitch has enough for bowlers willing to charge in and bend their backs. All three Aussie pacers are perfect for these conditions. Expecting a blood bath
It's easy to bend backs when you are 6'5 foot tall.

Shaheen is what? 6'6 where was the bounce though? I have never seen such a tall guy get so little bounce like shaheen.

Our 2 newbies did way better.

Imam with his usual selfishness.

How you ask ? He doesn't want to face the new ball. First turning down easy single when Shafique was on strike. And when he wanted to get away from facing starc then asking for a suicide run.

54 overs left in the day , 150/3 eod would be a good step towards trying to draw the game .

imam is a sitting duck. Should have just gone with Saim. At least he would play positive and hit a few before getting out.

Starc average speed 143
Shaheen 133
Jamal 135.6 so much for him being slow. 134 to 143 is perfect pace for every pitch especially if you have bounce and some variations.

Shaheen was dead slow

Also hazlewood so far 136 average speed

Khurram shezad 133

I am very surprised with shaheen speed, he is very tall guy have a very lean body and still cant bowl beyond 135.

Lyon will be key here. Pak batsmen attack him, and the 3 fast bowlers will be tiring out quicker.

Blazing start. Look at how fast the ball bounces off that dead bat!

Lol, forget our cricketers for a while, even our fans have a more defensive mindset than our cricketers. Hope for a win bro. If we lose trying to win, it's comepletely ok with me, but if we start thinking about drawing the game before 10 overs are bowled, phir is ka koi ilaaj nahi.

Lyon scares me.

Where is Younis khan and the great misbah. Used to swat spin like nothing.

Finally a solid boundary from Abdullah while Imam is still stuck at 2.

Actually it is called realistic approach 😎

Lol even Mitch Marsh can bowl such beauties. He is waY better than that overrated green.

Imam looked okay vs 140+ of Starc and Cummins. But finding Marsh's 120+ kph difficult. Lol
He is seaming the ball man. Got to give credit to the bowler.

He dint bowl at all in the WC but suddenly he bowls like peak kalis lol who was a decent seamer.

Got to be kidding me. If we get out to a 120 to 125 pacer I am going to be real angry. However good he is, and yes he seams but we should still not get bullied by such pace.

He seams the ball yes but seriously, we should do better.

Not even trying to draw. He’s trying to not lose -> trying to lose.

No one is saying to bat at SR of 150 or even 100, 80. But 5 off 42 is beyond pathetic.

This is not test cricket in the 80s on a green mamba with Ambrose zipping the ball around.

They are complaining about the grass near bowling run up. Get on with it, Pakistan were bowling on the same ground.

Wasim in commentary is so clueless. “Positive intent from both the openers. Looking very comfortable here”

Once again, the same mistakes being made. The thing about this kind of partnership is that, once you lose a wicket you could lose another one and suddenly realize you are two or three down for nothing on the board.

Pakistan batsmen need to atleast show intent to dominate, even if they can’t do it due to lack of talent and skill. Not sure what Imam is trying to prove by playing this nonsense innings.

This is an excellent start from the batters, ABD Shafique is one for the future.
This is not an excellent start. Excellent start would have been atleast 70 in 20 odd overs. Playing at 2 rpo clearly states that Pakistan is looking for a draw even at this stage & this will end up as another embarrassing defeat for Pakistan

It was an excellent start because we are still no wickets down, which has been a norm for us.
