Once again, the same mistakes being made. The thing about this kind of partnership is that, once you lose a wicket you could lose another one and suddenly realize you are two or three down for nothing on the board.

Pakistan batsmen need to atleast show intent to dominate, even if they can’t do it due to lack of talent and skill. Not sure what Imam is trying to prove by playing this nonsense innings.

Ball is now 20 overs old & around 35-38 overs to go for today , these 2 need to move on , survival & occupation of crease will not help the team cause as 10 sessions/300+ overs left in the match . I would rather they score 330-350 in 110 overs instead of plodding to 375 in 150 overs . Purpose of playing a game is to try to win it !

It is really astonishing reading some of the comments from some other posters.
They have been fed on a diet of T20 cricket and don’t understand the cadence of Test cricket — you are spot on with the comment on the approach taken by the Indians. They wore the Australians down.

Alstair Cook played a similar role in his memorable series there.
