We are a 5th/6th ranked team at best. Nearly half of our team is below par.

The reason Pakistan is ranked at 4 is not because we are good, it's because the other teams suck even more. India is pretty much on par with us. Aus look completely lost outside home. England and NewZealand are pretty ordinary themselves. No quality cricket at all

remember how many cut shots Ross Taylor played last time against us and got a 100
bell might do same

According to ramiz pakistan has to "jolt them out of this reactionary period" hahaha

how many times ramiz will repeat the same thing muhstaq has always that smile which is gooooooddddd

Hahahahah hahahahahahahaaahhaha ramis saying "mushi was an obediant roommate. I got to share him sometimes in australia. I wouldnt diverge all the details"

Babar is so mediocre. Should be his last game unless he pulls a rabbit out of the hat

Such poor planning by PCB

We must not get frustrated. Patience is the key. Wickets will come. This game will have a result.

The curator must be fired. I cant believe the management couldve asked for something as bad as this

Even wasim akram would have struggled on this track ..no need to bash the bowlers on this graveyard.

Only way things can get worse than this is for Junaid to get a chance ahead of Rahat in the next match. As bad as Rahat can be, he is still better than Junaid of recent times.

You are a junaid hater junaid is one of the best pacers in the world in SC conditions. InshAllah he will destroy England. Courtesy from Bilal 7

We dont have review. Im scared even when its out paul reiffel wont give it. Hes a terrible umpire

Zulfi should go into the sunset. He is toothless against an half decent players of spin.

Even an Abdur Rehman would have done better here. I expect them to test Zafar Gohar in the next match. He troubled guys like Root, Cook in the A matches.

Zulfi would do well on Indian turners but on these tracks u need spinners who bowl quicker through the air. Yasir has that fizz and energy in his leg spin.

Doubt it. Cheffy is slowing down and Dingdong is just hanging in there at present. But, as Uncle Boikz tells us, if you stay in the runs will come.

I think the new ball will help the batsmen more than the bowlers , the tiring bowlers won't be able to get anything from this dead pitch either. Cook is well set , he should be able to score freely now.

Barring a big collapse in the final session this game will end in a draw.

Actually Pak could be under pressure if England bat till Tea tomorrow.

Even Jeff Boycot's grandmother could have made a century on this pitch.

It was really a marvellous and golden opportunity for Malik to play his come back match on this dead pitch.

But it was a terrible thing for Pakistan that batsman of a poor calibre like Malik got a double and cemented his place in the team.

We should have been worried about our bowling when Hafeez was scoring runs.

Looks like we'll be going to a draw, really hope Yasir is fit by the 2nd test match otherwise we are going to have a problem.

Cook is really fantastic in Asia. He averages 60, not including this knock.

With Joe Root waiting in the dug out, i dont see Pak able to create some collapse, even after picking wickets of both batsmen on the crease.

This is just boring now, England ticking along against part-time bowlers. What a terrible advert for test cricket. Wickets like this are killing the game.

Oooh, new ball time, perhaps something will happen!

a wicket or two with the new ball can make things a bit interesting

What a borefest.

Thank God I have only been following the day's play here and cricinfo

I wouldn't underestimate this England bowling attack. If they could take 8 wickets on THIS pitch they must be pretty good.......

it always has been like this. no wonder all of our mediocre batsmen hv swollen records here.
in fact, even on these barren strips, guys like shafiq, misbah, younis n azhar look scratchy n unable to take control.

this is why i side with mubashir that had guys like umar, haris been given chances on the very same pitches, they would hv done the same if not better.
in fact, we could hv atleast seen some better batsmanship than these mediocre workmen just chugging away

lol no.

This particular pitch is flat. Usually these wickets produce results. Its just this test match.

There is a reason why home track bullies like shehzad, misbah, hafeez only succeed here

Why was Zulfi removed 20 overs earlier?

Ian Bell was very uncertain against him. 5 runs in 51 balls. Poor decision
