Since the zimbabwe odis azhar has really been out of form. In tests too
 
What would it be like had England's opening bowlers been Anderson and Broad.

Well they're treating these two as them anyway! :P

He needs to get a move on here with his strike rate and strike rotation.

He cant bat this slowly as an opener.

16 off 27 is to slow as an opener, needs to pick up the scoring we cant have snail like batting here! ODIs just dont seem his format.
 
Lovely shot that from Babar. Good solid start now from openers.
 
They're playing Junoon in the ground. Man I feel like its the 90s all over again

Inshallah hope these 2 and the batsmen to come can continue a good show and push the score to 280-300. Anything plus 250+ here would be a good score - getting up to 280-300 will be a very good score InshAllah IMO.

Can someone post a statistic on how many times have we crossed 60+ in the first ten discounting non minnows ?? during the last 5 years ??? Can someone do a comparison ???
 
So 43 runs in 10 overs is practically our limit even with Babar at the crease :facepalm:
 
Looks like bad days for Ahmed finally has arrived. Azhar is Captain & this Babar boy already looks better. SR of ~85 in his 1st 24 balls & that's on this pathetic out-field. It's unfortunate that Ahmed didn't improve his game in almost 2 years of continuous opportunities, he had so much potential.

Still, I think Babar should play at 3 & Azhar shouldn't bat in top 3 (probably not in LO).
 
This start is acceptable if we don't lost any wickets in the next 10 overs. A few quick wickets and were back in the rot.

Babar should open with azhar. Haris should be at 3
 
24 dot balls from 36 balls faced, thats really poor from AA and unless he starts to improve in that part of his game then he shouldnt be playing ODIs, doesnt matter if hes the skipper or not.
 
Babar gone, Pakistan lose 1st wicket, we can afford to slow down here so new man in needs to get in and score quickly.
 
That's a bit questionable height. However, this is absolutely Azhar's wicket - you can't expect 2 openers going at 58 SR, one had to give away.

Good luck for 2016 guys, we'll get peppered with bouncers and these blokes CAN'T play it to save their lives....

Azhar continuing right where his predecessor left off- creating unnecessary pressure for his batting partners and forcing them into bad shots

Go and fetch Inzi to deal with the short balls. Babar is very good against pace and lightyears ahead of our typical standards.
 
What a boring batting side: Pakistan. You need someone like Soumya Sarker to score fast and entertain at the same time. It's no wonder Pakistan are one of the slowest scoring sides in first 10 overs of ODIs.
