I've watched a lot of Test cricket, and I can safely say this is not good defensive cricket. It's a timid approach. You shouldn't be at 18 after 11 overs, even in Test cricket.

There's absolutely no intent to hit any of the bad balls. It's a basic rule of the thumb, respect good balls, punish the bad ones.

interesting Test match building on. May be not having a 3rd regular bowler 'll hurt ENG now. I thought 275 on 1st innings 'll be a good total, but PAK still can make up those 50 runs in 2nd innings. Looking at the bits & pieces spinners, I think ENG is going to chase over 250.

Younis is the best player of spin amongst both sides.

Pak has Younis, Misbah, Asad and Sarf. Then you have Azhar who can stick around like crazy.

India has Vijay, Pujara, Kohli.

Not sure of Rahane vs spin (he would be decent but how good I am not sure of).

So Pakistan has to be the better spin playing nation of the 2.
