what a shot... how in the world did he time that for six... ridiculous forearm strength...

175-5 - 10 overs to go.

250 is definitely on the cards.

edit: But it would need some really good batting.

Damn it, played all around that. Good knock, needed him to stick around though.

Akmal throws it away. It wasnt the worst shot but terrible execution.

Now we are in trouble again.

Akmal gone. :))) :))) :))) @ Gayle's face, wasn't even bothered. He wants to tame the beast! :afridi :afridi

We could fold up for under 200 here, but I'm already satisfied by Afridi's 27, any more is a bonus.:afridi

20-odd from Tanvir, 10 or so from Gul and Rao, and 50 more from Afridi.

Rao should be elevated. Anyone got a stream? Mine just died.

Pakistan are yet to take the third power play. Sohail Tanvir comes in

smart cricket.....not

powerplay needed now, while afridi is still in.

what brilliant use of the third powerplay.

why not use it when Akmal and Afridi were at the crease.

This is so dumb by Pakistan.

When did they take the powerplay??????????

they did not.

Akamal and AFridi were there.

two best hitters remaining use it.

Did Malik seriously expect these two to last till the 45th over

Would that have been too much to ask?

What was Malik's thinking here? Afridi was set.

With Tanno there, he still needs to use it now.

I think they were waiting till around now (41-45). Pity that Akmal got out before though.

Hey, did I just see Malik laughing from the pavilion staring at the ground ? :20:H

Thats the problem, the guy never thinks. Why the f is Afridi batting so low down the order? Everytime he comes low down the order he has to up the rate or come in a crisis? When will our retarded team management ever learn he is best used as an opener.

Sorry dude, But Afridi can't bat, which is why he bats lower down the order.

Simple Logic.

against the swinging new ball where he will nick it

brilliant

hes crap, get over it

Looking at Malik there im not sure he even remembers there is a power play.

As usual, post Afridi dismissal, the haters come arunning. :|

4-5 an over will get us to respectability and give a glimmer of hope. But it is vital we bat out the overs. Inshallah Rao and Tanvir are capable of doing it.

Powerplay taken, a bit to late
Another serious mistake by Malik.

But off course they some guys will keep calling us Malik-haters

And Manzoor and Butt did so brilliantly today.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it ?

I think the team would have liked Akmal and Afridi to last a little longer. That way when the Power Play comes in, there are wickets in hand.

No point taking power play, losing wickets, and end up being all out by late 40-odd overs.

Still, Akmal and Afridi both played well.

Dont underestimate the Boa, he's superb off the pads.

Kudos to Observer for betraying his anti-Afridi instincts. :D Welcome to Beastology.

dont get me wrong i like afridi but hes done nothing with the bat for as long as I can remember. he doesnt deserve a spot in the team and for that reason has to go.

Exactly. Akmal got out at the 40.5 over mark. Who's to say Malik wouldn't have taken the power play the very next over? It's just unfortunate that Akmal got out at that time, because I think we were ready to go.

lol

I don't hate Afridi. He is the most entertaining player in the team. I genuinley feel however he should be dropped for a few series.

That way when he comes back, he will have his hunger back, and insha'Allah play like he used to play.

OMG, has anyone else noticed Rao's name on his jersey is spelt Roa? :)))
He's definitely a fan of PakPassion. BEAST !:D
