No, it shouldn't. He's an asset with the ball and he's influential in the field. By playing him as a specialist all-rounder you just put more pressure on his batting, which should be regarded as a bonus.

Fair enough. But if the pitch is supporting spin then why have 3 pacers as well? How are Gul, Tanvir, Rao, Afridi, Ajmal, and Malik going to share 50 overs? Obviously one (or a number) of them will be under-bowled so what's the point?

It makes even less sense when you consider that the dude you dropped played an important part in the last win and that he was meant to be Yousuf's replacement. So theoretically it's Ajmal for Yousuf in this game.
