De Kock is turning out to be a really good bat for saffers !

There is absolutely no room for smith in this side with him opening the bat with Amla !

250 is all that the Saffers are going to get. The Indians are bowling really well and strokemaking isn't easy.

Lol Smith could have resurrected his ODI career against this attack. Must be regretting sitting out

"It's been 68 ODIs since the last century partnership by South Africa's openers. The last time was against India at Ahmedabad in Feb 2010."

so circle is going to complete today starting from india and ending on india

The seamers should have been fuller and around the off stump.

They were too short and too wide.

Talk by the commentators about how the Saffers should take the second powerplay right now. Good idea?

How? These trundlers smell blood and one wicket will bring a bunch. They've bowled excellently.

You think any of them would bother AB. He would swat them like flies. Although the rest of the batting is a bit suspect. If only our bowlers could exert pressure continuously..

South Africa are 4o runs short here, India on top. Don't get Amla out, let him score a century and waste more balls

why do our bowlers bowl short?
who do they think they are?Malcolm Marshall and Jeff Thompson rolled into one?

SA should target minimum 280 from here on. So many overs with 10 wickets. Team should be able to add 180-200 runs from here on.

You guys are going on like they're 180 already...

96/0 after 20 ain't great at all, you should be happy..

Its good to see de Kock has been getting starts. Hopefuly with age he will get better and covert them.

Unlike Ingram who is either 0, 10, 0, 79, 12, 100 then a succession of failures.

Bhuvi has such a good seam position!
I have no idea why the hell he bowls shorts?!!
Bowl to ur strength FFS

So how have the Saffers played well here? Whats up with the commentators?

Does show Pakistan's quality with the ball though :ajmal

And than there are those who dont miss a chance to jump up and criticize junaid and ajmal after one average or bad over saying pakistan bowling is overrated.

Pakistan bowling is very good, but they are over rated.

South African commentators are biased, they were pretty damn bad during the Pakistan series. It's going to rain soon and the match will be shortened and India will chase it with twenty overs to spare :kohli

They're good and probably the best in the world, but they're not untouchable.

they will accelerate in last 20 overs because of wickets in hand .

Another 100 run opening partner ship against india. SA batters would be relieved from playing Pakistan all the time... Now they can enjoy their batting...

Saffers will need a huge total to challenge this indian batting line up

If it doesn't rain, I have a feeling SA will score 300+, last 20 overs teams can usually double the score.

Well SA have played well here. This is not your regular ODI belter. There is a bit of grass (nothing to make too much noise about though). Under flood lights the ball will skid through a bit quicker.

Anyone expecting a 438 like game is living in lulu land with zero knowledge of South African conditions.

What makes ypu think that with 10 wickets in hand 109 on board in 22 overs, 300 on cards here

South Africa seem satisfied with this runrate. This could prove costly. With all wickets intact, run rate should be approaching 6.

:4

anything above 280 and game over for india in this match.

steyn will probably show today he is not a bad one day bowler and there is no tahir today
