south African are not used to seeing teams at 1/160 but then this is indian FTBs at work against saffers GTB bowlers

One thing I love about Pujara's batting is the fact that he rarely gets beaten.

Exactly right! Without a Green Top - these bowlers are nothing, just like FTBs on so-called Green Tops :)

BTW, Are you Indian? As you currently playing for India in HK sixes!

Bro. I was travelling at the time of sign ups for HK sixes, so could not sign up in time. And by the time I signed up, all the teams were full except India, so my situation was like KP:butt

And I wish for the rain to stay away because I wanna see good cricket, irrespective of who's playin:gul

Vijay deserves a ton for his effort. Dhawan is the flashier one but if you needed someone to bat for you you'd pick Vijay I reckon. A true opener's knock.

Vijay's knock was a traditional opener's knock. Not too attractive, but mighty effective. I've been critical of him in the past because he has often thrown it away after getting good starts.

And ya I almost forgot that Kohli is still to bat, seeing these two play :yk

After taking easy wickets against pakistan south africans hav forgotten how to dismiss real batsmen. :d

Wasn't expecting Vijay to do so well. He's surprised quite a few people with his resiliency. Pujara has been amazing.

Been hearing a lot of talk about how the pitch is flat but these guys have played well.

Yeah, I know you were late to sign up early so you have to go with India like Creed :msd

So Pakistani then? :amir

Lol. SA should have played both Abbott and Morkel. What was SA thinking playing these rubbish slow bowlers against us.

happy with Jadeja selection, but why are we playing 8 batsmen? :-( why Rahane ,he is good but 8 batsmen?

LOL South African bowlers getting too desperate now, bowling short and negative lines in bad light. :))) :)))

Flat wickets or not, to bat this well against a well regarded south African bowling line up is an incredible achievement

Can light be an issue even with flood-lights on ? If yes, why ?

Yes because this is not a white ball they are playing with. It's a 60 overs used red ball... Hope it make sense

it is . these guys have managed to nullify a potent bowling attack in its home conditions.

Indians should just take light if offered here. Bowling line is negative, runs will be hard to come by, it's all to lose here.

Lol it's because of SA negative tactics.
World no.1 team being so defensive at their home ground :))

James: "Searching bowling, determined batting. This is what test cricket is all about. Looking forward to the 3rd and 4th tests. Oh."

our James?:13:

What's the crowd like? Is it approaching the 90k that were at the MCG for the Ashes Test today?

Heck of a phattu effort this from RSA. Bad lights, bodyline bowling, and then that embarrassing Usain Bolt sprint back to the pavilion. Seriously what the hell?

There are no big crowds in RSA. Anyway attendance today is barely 15k. Way too much admiration for the farewell test of a supposed greatest all rounder.
