Recently when Harsha Bhogle (myself, not a fan of this non stop nonsense) tweeted about SA talent (or lack of it) pool and dwindling demand for young Saffers from IPL, everyone (mainly former cricketers and sports writers + fans from SA) pounced on him left/right and center. He was not far off in his assessment, it appears.

Also, don't go by the inflated batting averages of some of these players (Bavuma 55, Wasti 70 etc), barring one or two (Rabada and possibly Nortje), there are hardly anyone who is of great quality/form in this line up.

Expected a good contest, it seems like a one-sided result awaits us.

Good job by Pakistani bowlers and fielders thus far, though.

You can’t trust Pakistani players in general but on this occasion, Faheem did well to say that he wasn’t sure. Usually when a fielder is not sure, it is because the ball has hit the ground because they cannot feel their fingers wrapping the ball.

It was clearly not out and it was a poor call by the tv umpire. Markram was looking good so this could prove to be a decisive decision in the context of the game.

South Africa are playing mediocre cricket at the moment and the last thing they need is some bad luck.

Nah mate Imam has actually taken over from Shehzad. Dives for balls that don’t really need diving for and then ends up fumbling them anyway. Atleast Shadab has taken decent catches and produced quality run outs whereas you can hardly remember the likes of Imam and Shehzad doing anything memorable in the field.

While I don't support Bavuma (whose inflated batting average should not blind us form the mediocre retrusn he usually provides), Reeza hendricks is another hyped up (30+ aged) player who plays exactly similar to modern wajahatullah wasti (Rassie that is). So much of ball wasting/eating useless innings.

You can almost predict with 100% accuracy what the commentators will say at different stages of the game and in different situation.
