South Africa v Pakistan | 1st ODI | Centurion | 2nd April, 2021 | South Africa innings

Genuine question, Faheem has improved since Misbah became coach whether people like it or not. Who do we credit for that?Misbah or just Faheem? If it was another coach I think posters would give credit to the coach.

Everyone knows that he gave a lot of credit to M. Yousuf for his development in batting.

Why isn't tensports showing any Pakistan match. I thought PCB had a broadcast deal with sony to telecast matches.

SA are playing a wrong team. Their best XI should be:-

de kock(wkt)
J Malan
Markram(c)
AB de Villiers
Van der Dussen
David Miller
Chris Morris
Spinner
Kagiso Rabada
Anrich Nortje
Lungi Ngidi

Shamsi is fine as a spinner. Klassen has a good ODI record. Wian Mulder could also be in your 11. SA definitely have talent. They will need a bit of time to find the right combination and gel.

Apart from a couple of poor overs while adjusting to conditions, Pakistani seamers have been on the money.

Been very critical of our new ball bowling for ages but they've hit a hard length and continue to build pressure.

Yousuf has been responsible for the tweak in his batting technique that has allowed him to prosper recently. I guess Misbah can be given credit for giving Faheem a long run even when everyone thought he was crap

If the home players are batting at a s/r of 10 I dread to think what’s Imams s/r will be !

Hasan Ali needs to replace Rauf and it's a good seam attack. If Shadab doesn't perform, we need to try another spinner. Haider Ali and Haris Sohail would make us a stronger batting line up. We have the makings to be a better ODI team than we have been in the last few years.

SA need ABD back if they want to become a top 4 team. Without him, they are a 7th-8th ranked team as they look to cope up against Sri Lanka, West Indies and Bangladesh team.

Aside of Dussen, Markram, QDk and Rabada, none are quality.

Boucher needs to be sacked. Talks a big game in his PCs but there hardly seems to be any direction with this SA team.

Wasn't much Klaas in that innings.

You build the pressure, you earn your wickets.

South Africa are a joke of a team they used to chokers before but they are just minnows now

Rana jee good enough Hasnain good enough so Pandya now naturally don't work into Pak team....and so others

AB De Villiers is not coming back. South Africa need to move on anyway. They have talented players. It will take time to rebuild the team.

Yeah they also need Jacques Kallis back lol. :inti

Previous captains like Sarfraz and Azhar let countless situations like these slip where we had teams on the mat and allow them to develop a partnership to make a match out of it. Let’s see if Babar has the killer instinct or not.

So should Waqar younis take credit for the bowlers performance today??

Have we bowled that well? I think poor South African batting is responsible for the rate and at least a couple of the wickets.

The bowling hasn't been poor but wouldn't say it was remarkable either.

We have been as good as South Africa have been poor I think.

Boucher was not captaincy material and he is not coaching material either.

I think G. Smith needs to give up his administrative role and join the team management.

For LOIs, ABD will do for them.

See the difference. With ABD, they were a top 3 team in 2015 WC.

Without him, in 2019 WC, they were getting trounced by Bangladesh and West Indies.

Looks like Misbah will get another 3 year extension after this series.

Danish seems to be less of an athlete and more from his namesake’s school of fielding :danish

Who told ABD to quit international cricket....for bucks..... He lost half the respect for that only

Admit you were wrong about the signs

They've bowled the perfect length for SA conditions. I think Waqar deserves some credit as most of these bowlers have little or no experience in these conditions

If I remember correctly Pakistan was the first asian team to win an ODI series in South Africa? :inti

Yes we were under misbahs captaincy but don’t bring that up cause some on hear think Kohli is the greatest Asian captain even though his team hasn’t even won a test series against this garbage South African side as well in South Africa yet

Yep 2013. AB and Amla had an epic partnership in 1 of the games and they still choked lol. Can remember running home from college to watch the end of that game. :inti

A partnership of 100 runs even from here into the 35th over can rescue SA

SA management didn't agreed to his conditions and are paying the price from last three years now, losing test matches at home to Sri Lanka and getting trounced by BD and Windies in World Cup.

Let them suffer. Who cares?? We will get to watch him a week later in Bangalore.

Faheem has done well in the last few months in different types of situation. I have given him a lot of stick but he deserves his success and is proving me wrong. Well done.

Shaheen should be brought back into the attack to get rid of miller.

Pakistan has a real big chance of restricting them to below 150 with Saffer tail starting at 7.

Absolutely beautiful to watch Faheem and Hasnain bowling in the late 140's. The ball carrying to the keeper is a delight to watch.

Faheem is a good first spell bowler. If he can learn to add to his bowling arsenal with good cutters and yorkers at the death, he could be trusted to bowl a full 10 over quota

Ab Fan, David Miller needs to do well here to have a chance of getting into the RR team. :kp
