His batting isn't ideal for a guy down at 6 or 7, where big hits and pure power is required.

He is also late on the ball most times when batting, and his innings are quite difficult to watch from a technical point of view.

I think he either makes the team as a bowler, or as a bowling all-rounder. There's no need for a batting all-rounder unless he can improve that strike rate. But looking at his bowling in recent times, I think he needs to be dropped, and needs to go back to the NHPC. Perhaps work with Yousuf in the batting and Mushtaq in bowling will develop him into a better player.
