Hawkeye - the only thing "explosive" about Kamran Akmal is the speed he returns to the pavilion from the crease.

Knew he'd be exposed back in internationals.

thats why I told you that Pakistan should not have selected Kami in the first place as it is just a waste of time. But you supported his selection and look where Pakistan is now; 2 games on foreign soil wasted which could have been used to train a junior to reap benefits for years to come

Pak batting first

Want to see some positivity and modern day batting

Poor quality pitch.

Poorly trained curators I'm afraid. New director of cricket Jimmy Adams and new CEO Johnny Grave say they want the pitches to be livelier so hopefully they'll make some changes.

People crying over Kamran's selection need to know that him getting selected had become vital. Firstly, the PCB's credibility was at stake in terms of meritocracy because he'd had 2 great First Class seasons and an absolutely amazing PSL. It is true that he'd failed at the international stage but he was by far the best batsman in Domestic cricket for years now.

The loss of Sharjeel and Latif hit Pakistan really hard. They were the only two players in the team who could play the modern game and give the ball a good whack and without them, the Pakistan team, especially the T/20 team, would be too one dimensional. Thus, Kami, a player who likes to play the fast paced game, getting selected had become important.

My god you are incapable of reading.

I never supported his selection as I mentioned at least a dozen times in your thread but clearly that went over your head.

I said I understood why team management brought him back because of Sharjeel/Latif's suspensions and because of his performance in the PSL. However my preference would've been to keep him sidelined.

Got it ?

Babar sahab plays a maiden in the powerplays

Masha Allah Babar played another maiden over in T20 in the first 6 overs

Our most talented batsman just played a maiden to a rookie.. Grim times for Pakistan ahead.

Babar wasted whole over, cannot play pull/cut. Same balls flgigen to Sharjeel, atleast two if not three boundaries 🙄🙄🙄

Sharjeel was only good pulller and cutter we had, rest cannot play that shot, ehich is must in LOIs 👹👹👹

how can Babar laugh after scoring a 4 . should not he be feeling ashamed that he played a maiden over in PP?

Even a Sami Aslam can play T20i's at this rate. I mean, he wouldn't do much worse than playing a maiden..

Ok he played a maiden, it was bad, but are you going to put him in jail for it?

Jeez take it easy. Just for you he hit two boundaries now.

I see the same problems though.

Cant rotate strike... can just blast balls or dot.

this laughing, after doing the worst thing ever a batsman can do, shows me that he needs serious scolding to understand the gravity of his wrong actions kind of like how Imran Khan used to do; Imran Khan would have given Babar a jhanpar for this; Babar needs to respect this game and Pakistan jersey

We lost the only we one we had in Sharjeel. Don't see any others like him or half as good as him in the domestic set up.

Sharjeel was overrated, yes he had the big shots, but didn't influence the result of the series against Australia and England.

Pak right at the bottom (worse than Zim) with SR in PP T20I last five years

Sums it up

Hahaha bro he should laugh more and not let a mistake put pressure on him.

Shoaib Akhtar, is that you?

Pakistan can just still win this though.

Just need 100 odd runs.

I don't know why people often speak about the "fast, bouncy Caribbean pitches" of the past. From my memory, they've often been like this - slow, low wickets.

Barbados and Jamaica offer relatively more pace, but still favourable to spin.

since we are going back to the stone ages maybe someone can find out what Abdul Hafeez Kardar would have done

11(10) and 26(26) for the two batsmen.

Teams play faster than this in ODIs

One single man never wins you an entire game... One single man can lose you a game but a one player can never win you a game on his own. And like I said, he was the best powerhitter we have? Where am I overrating him? If you know someone better, please tell me. I'd love to know. I'd love it for you to prove me wrong. Go ahead. Who is it?

People think just because the Windies had a battery of express pacers that were pretty much unbeatable at home, they must have fast, bouncy pitches to assist them.

The 3 previous 1st innings T20I totals at Queens Park Oval:

159-6, 121 all out and 105 all out.

One single man can win you a game, in the context of match winning knocks. He went missing agains the likes of England and Australia. Yes, after Afridi was axed, he was our best power hitter, but Fakhar and Hammad have the potential to overtake him.

if Pakistan lose today Babar will the chief culprit  wasted 27 balls

Not too excited about Fakhar Zaman, don't see anything special in him.

Babar losing his patience.

When you bat in the WI for the first time, you must realise its a grind on these pitches. Not easy to time your shots as ball doesn't easily come onto the bat.

Disappointing as Brathwaite's the weak link in this attack.

Shehzad is looking proper different you know

Shezad real test is pace, he is dud against 140-145 pace, spinners he can wack, my judgment on him will change once I see him scoring with ease against express pace...

I have no doubt that he will fail again, that's why I don't consider Shezad and Hafeez as opener, there strength is playing spin and not fast and swinging

Might be worth promoting Shadab up the order for some impetus.

Only 2nd match and we already have 2 non performers. How we cope next 5 matches

India should be afraid of this team?
joke of the century lol
babar is not a t20 player . *period*

Rarely happens. And even then its never one man that wins you a match, at least an LOI match. Anyway, Afridi was far from our best powerhitter over the past couple of years.

Anyway, Fakhar Zaman isn't even a power hitter, what are you talking about?! Have you not seen the PSL. He's a good timer of the ball and can hit the ball hard maybe, but definitely a power hitter.

Azam is pathetic. He has no potential. Has done nothing on the international stage over the numerous chances he's gotten and honestly, you get only so many chances. This isn't Christmas.

And another.

Shehzad with another failure in his international return.

Babar should either expand his comfort zone or start taking risks in t20s otherwise is of no use in t20s.

This pitch looks to be a real demon. Not good for judging young batsmen like Zaman and Shadab. They may fail and people will form the opinion that they are average batsmen. Pathetic pitch for cricket. And then they ask why cricket is a dying sport..

So the best of Shehzad is still 15 odd runs.

What has changed ?

Babar deserves more criticism than this fgs he played a maiden over in PP

Babar is sound , needs to push himself a tad more , Shehzad on the other hand needs to be put away...forever
