It isnt about finishing at top. Who said it is? It is about playing impactful innings more consistently whether that takes you to the top or not.

Babar is playing his role perfectly - these are not 170 wicket. If one player can get even run a ball 60, PAK can reach 150, which is 20 above per.

Good job by Sarfu to send Shadab up.
 
This innings from Malik should tell most peope the depth of our problems. He can play at a strike rate of 110 when pakistan are four down and he has all the time in the world to play a highest score in the team but ultimately mediocre innings. But when you need to him bash it like now, he will fail

Why on earth would you send in Malik so late after his consistent performances, Mickey killing us....favouring Babar Azam like a legend

It is but based on Kamran's embarssing international failures he should not be near the team even if he scores 10 PSL 100s

Then don't send him to bash - for a 20 over game there are 3/4 types of players; Malik is not one to come when 50 balls are left.

I really dont think it is. A selfish player can play slow and score more runs and finish at the top.

As I said. Pakistans line up does not have 3 to 4 types of players. Shehzad = babar = sarfaraz = Malik = stirke rate of 110 - 115

Poor post, like saying open with Younis Khan in t-20's. If he isn't a slogger, he isn't, you can't expect a batsman to bat at all positions in all situations!
 
Fakhar trying that slog sweep again. Should play normal cricket. He is fine that way.

Oh boy, I'd much rather be here, then be a minnow and selecting guys who are consistent but end up 20 in charts
 
Tired of these excuses for batsmen - "he shouldn't come in this situation or bat in that position"

Why the hell not ? You're an international batsman, you should be able to do a job WHATEVER the situation.

Still happy to stand by my estimate. Pakistan won't reach 150 here
 
Babar will make not attempt to raise his strike rate and he guys at the other end will lose wickets

But yes, there is no need for more than 2 of this type. Unfortunately Sarfu is captain & Babar is the best of the lot. Malik might be dropped, had Sharjeel been there.

Selecting a newbie who may or may not fail is better than selecting a player who has an average of Afridi over 200 LOI games.

Kamran, having failed in his entire career, will now suddenly turn a Bradman at 35 years old.

Afridi's batting has been a failure international level but atleast his bowling backed him up. Kamran's average is similar to Afridi, I used it to highlight how much of a failure he's been.

Failed at international--> scores at domestic--> fails at international

Failed at international--> scores at domestic--> fails at international

Failed at international--> scores at domestic--> fails at international

Failed at international--> scores at domestic--> fails at international

Failed at international--> scores at domestic--> fails at international

This has been Kamran's career. To keep repeating a failed method is insanity. If you're that obsessed with charts, then follow his international ones. The ones that matter.
