Clarke is a hard taskmaster because he has high standards and expects people to meet those standards. They are lucky that he threw his own wicket away otherwise Maxwell, Watson and Smith might have some difficult questions to answer.

To answer your question, I don't think they will drop him. I think whilst they expected to win this match, they were prepared for the possibility that they might lose. The Clarke issue could become a problem though. But his shot wasn't the only atrocious one, there were 5 of them that threw their wickets away.

I reckon they need to change these rules on breaks. If someone gets bowled out have the break right then and there. If they eat dinner early bad luck. It's better than interrupting the innings unless there is some commercial reason why they cannot.
