Gratz to the Kiwis for the victory. Bit of a roller coaster match, Aus blasted out of the blocks to get 50 in 5 overs then a woeful collapse to lose 8 wickets for 26 in an hour before relying on a last wicket partnership to get some respectability. Then Macca got them off to a flyer before a middle order stutter but they had Williamson there to stabilise the inning, something Clarke and Smith failed to do.

Gonna be done hard word said in the sheds after the match I reckon and a selection headache for the next match.

Yep, if the middle order had shown even a little discipline and backbone for just 3-4 overs to halt NZ's momentum, Australia would quite likely have won. Modern LOI batsmen don't appreciate the value of playing out a couple of maidens.
