Clearly they've never watched Tests to completion as its usually towards the end of Day 3 that you start to see some changes to the wicket, then on the 4th day it becomes a lot harder to bat on. Unless you are Australia playing India of course.

It's very difficult to feel such a feather edge on the bat especially when you smashed the pitch. Naturally you thibk any noise was from the impact. So I'd have been pretty p!ssed as well.
