An hour or so to go till the start - are we destined for a high scoring draw?

Games at Adelaide always look like being a draw until the afternoon of the fourth day.

Seven of the last ten tests here have been results, and this is a typical Adelaide pitch.

30% have been draws.

Good chance of a draw.

Interesting. Does it start turning? If so, I still don't see Tahir causing problems.

Was just about to write that not much happening for the Aussie bowlers.... then Siddle bowls a jaffa that moves away and beats Smith's edge.

Most people look at high first innings scores in Adelaide and assume draw. Clearly they've never watched Tests to completion as its usually towards the end of Day 3 that you start to see some changes to the wicket, then on the 4th day it becomes a lot harder to bat on. Unless you are Australia playing India of course.

Red Nosed Reindeer gooooooooooonnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeee

Lyon gets Rudolph woo.

Siddle bowling the fastest spell of the series so far, hitting 146 on a flat pitch.

Smiffy goooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

...but reviews again

For Gods sake this is a joke, huge noise, bat didnt hit the ground, mark on hot spot.

Siddle mows down Smith, we are in a good position now. New ball due shortly.

Looks more conclusive than the last review. Teeny bit of a mark

Excellent situation now for Aus as Smith goes. Not sure why he wasn't happy, clear mark on the bat according to hotspot.

He's not happy because he knows it's a huge wicket for the OZ.

So huge noise, given out, reviewed, there is a mark on the bat, given out again and still he sooks all the way to the dressing room.

Is Kalliszz :28: going to bat? Will they let him wear crutches?

Finally something to watch. It has gotten interesting. When is the new ball due?

And ABDV LBW to Waqar Siddle.

And reviews yawn. Its plumb you cheating Saffer sook! GTFO the pitch

ABCDEF DeVilliers gggggoooooooonnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

...but reviews

wasted review. That was plumb as

Here come Kalliszzz :28: with a walking frame

Steyn comes in at 5 down????????? WTHHHHH

given Kallis is injured, but still he'd be at 6 down

Has anyone in the crowds got innovative and chanted 'choke'? I'd seriously consider it

We wont make them follow on, we will bat. Suicide choosing to bat last on this pitch.

really hope aus take this test and the series.

SA are cocky bunch, not that likeable.

Ozs best bowler off the field, this should give saffers a lot of hope to save this match .

Yeap. And besides the follow on has been thrown out as an option ever since that game vs Dravid and Laxman.

Aus should bat rather than enforcing follow on here.

Yeap. And besides the follow on has been thrown out as an option ever since that game vs Dravid and Laxman.

Yep. And also why let them have the best of the pitch and give ourselves the worst? No contest now Patto is off injured.

Kallis comes out to bat finally.

It's very difficult to feel such a feather edge on the bat especially when you smashed the pitch. Naturally you thibk any noise was from the impact. So I'd have been pretty p!ssed as well.

Here comes Kalliszzz :28: with his leg in a cast

Hilfy giving a traditional Australian send off to Kleinveldt

"#%^~ off you #%#*%^* ##%}%#"

What's with Aussie fast bowlers and injuries!

Was bowling way slower than usual, then pulled up sore after bowling.
Didnt finish the over and went straight off.

Was it a hammy? I hope not. That's only supposed to happen to the Yarpies.

Yeap. And besides the follow on has been thrown out as an option ever since that game vs Dravid and Laxman.

This old chestnut again, Australia have made teams follow on just as much since that match as they did before. I dont know why people say this without checking.

SAF on the verge of losing a test for the first time when Smith scored a 100.

It was a general comment about all the teams not specifically Australiia, get your head out of the sand.

so patto broke down again ? wow this guy is one of the most promising upcoming bowler but really these aussie bowlers are really fragile (by aussie standard!! )
u dont expect this form australians

And the comment was based on wrong information, no need to get upset when someone corrects wrong information.

It's not wrong information, on a deteriorating pitch suited to spinners it's not the best option to follow on in effect bat last. Seriously I'm not lying :25:

Injury galore this series:

Duminy
Philander
Kallis
Steyn(Although minor nothing serious)
Patto
