If England bats till Tea tomorrow. That means England are ending up at around 850 runs. So that's much more than 150+ lead. More like 250-300 runs lead. Which would be enough to trigger a 3rd innings collapse from Pakistan on the last Day.

This will get interesting. We will see England win this Test match on the last session on Day 5.

Idk brother. I have a feeling pak cricket becoming hockey level is now a reality.

It's been damaged at grassroot level, The Champions One Day Cup was kinda rubbish besides a few gems.
 
Pak as a country is also finished. Recently heard reports of slow Internet and a bunch if other political drama going on.

Cricket is in a decline but so is the system that runs it as well as other affairs that aren't related to it but partially influence it

Eng bowled and fielded quite well I thought, nothing negative tactically, in equally roasting conditions and with no scoreboard pressure. Much better effort than what Pak have done.

Exactly, England were fine for most part, only the last 20-30 runs they kind of lost it.

I said ages back. Bring dahani into the side. But cause he performed poorly in odi they dropped him from. All formats. Why?

England won't go for 250-300 lead max it could be 200.

They will be looking to bowl tomorrow for a session atleast and get 3-4 wickets.
 
Deficit 154 already, probably another 15 overs in the day, should knock off another 70 runs

Realistically they probably need 3 sessions to bowl Pakistan out. So they can go for 250ish lead and try to bowl Pakistan out within that. Even if Pakistan takes say 70-80 runs lead. England will only need 7-8 overs max to chase that down.

This Test match has England win written all over now. Pakistan will be batting for their survival on last day.

Pakistan were always going to be playing catch up and then survival after the 150 overs 556 score.

England were never going to get rolled over for 400.
 
No six so far in the England innings which is a bit disappointing. especially with harry brook at the crease.
 
Pakistani spinners should start and only bowl negative line for the full innings.

Just bowl dry and hope batters throw their wickets out of boredom.

They thought they did some Hercules stuff by scoring 550+. That's how content they are. When in reality on this pitch you can potentially score 1000 runs. Specially against the bowling attack both teams have.
 
Yasir Shah was the last true match winning spinner that Pak produced. Since then, they have all been mediocre.

It is hard to judge a spinner on these wickets. But Abrar is not able to contain runs either.
 
Considering how flat this track is and all tracks basically in Pakistan,

What kind of line up will Pakistan need in the Champion's trophy? Asking this question now because even the die hard Misbahis need current context, otherwise they will continue to live in denial and also spread that denial through their views.

I would like Pakistan to lose just for preparing this sort of wickets for stat padding. Hopefully another loss will put some sense. Hopefully England will score 700 here and then get Pakistan out for cheap

This defensive bowling isn't defensive. Nor does it halt runs. England bat at their pace willingly whenever they want.

They will bat at 4 rpo whenever they want. They will bat at 7 rpo whenever they want.

Pak missed the trick in first innings from 4,5rpo went to 2.54rpo when Babar and Saud were batting. Coudlve made atleast 100 more.

Now England will get a lead of around 180 and declare. Pak will most likely crumble under pressure and even possibility of losing by innings.
 
Some what thank god for bazball but imagine this kind of pitch even 5-7 yrs back. Would have been painful to watch. Boring pitch.

ODI Cricket is different. No matter the nature of pitch. It will always produce entertaining result.
 
How on earth pakistan produced wasim, waqar, shoaib, asif, gul etc if they prepare similar pitched in domestic cricket. I wonder!!!

Although with nrl I guess it's easier to break in given there are so many teams and on average they earn 300. To 400 k.

But top earners in cricket with ipl etc can earn millions. Ceiling for nrl Is much lower. Same with all.
But the average player can earn 300 to 400 k as there are so many teams to get into.

Which is not pitch or their fault. I don't mind seeing 400+ runs in this Champions Trophy. Will always be entertaining. We saw high scores in WC23 in India as well
