If Morgan plays really well in this series, who does Collingwood replace when he comes back? Bell?

If Bell fails then Collingwood in place for him

If Bell and Morgan have a good series then Morgan going their way

And if both fails then Collingwood would replace any of both players

I'm sorry, I always root for teams from the subcontinent to do well against England, but god, Bangladesh is just absolutely terrible. You want them to improve and be competitive but performances like these make it seem like an almost impossible prospect.

Will be Bell, Bell has been struggling to keep his place in the team recently.

Bell is such a good, neat batsmen. Don't know whats happened to him since the SA tour in 2008, I think?

But i was surprised watching the pitch today. Jack Flat.

yeah he is good.. concentration ka prb hai .. no issue in his technique..

his recent first class average is also not good.. only 31 after 6 games...

commentators showed it

Crap of a series. Test cap should be taken back from Bangladesh. They've spent 11 years with the test cap and only few notable performances.

definetly they dont deserve test status...

no matter what they do in next 4 days.. or other test matches..

If Morgan fails, he goes back to Ireland :) (see Ed Joyce)

Trott to break Lara's record tomorrow? :)

Nah, he might be playing in the '3 Lions' but he still has the 'Saffie choke' factor running through his veins :)

200 up for Trott - I think the first double ton for England since Colly's in Australia in 2006.

^^ Nope. Pietersen "choked" one against Windies in 2007. :P

I think England should bat for 3 days now and make 2000 runs and declare so match goes full 5 days :)

Bangladesh looks no where here they take early wickets but remain same like in the first day couldnt put more pressure on England.

On they go - 115 runs every session, no trouble at all. At this rate they will be past 600 by 5 pm, with Trott on 300...

I can see Bangla being 3/4 down for 20 Odd in replay to Englands final total here...

what a snoozefest of a test match...Bangladesh are terrible.

Swann departs..........last man in..............1 wicket away for Bangladesh

England looking at 500 here

Strauss likes to declare as late as possible, doesn't he? lol.

England all out for 505 and Bangladesh have taken all 10 wickets. What a side. :inti

England 502/9

I dobut Bangla will get close to this....!

Strauss doesnt happy with overall score 500 he wanted even more Trott and Strauss get scores but not enough contribution in other hand might makes the difference to the total.

Shahadat takes 5 and is the first Bangladeshi on the Lord's honour board. Great historic moment for him, well done. :14:

Aye, good effort to keep persevering. :14:

Now let's see Tamim flat-track-bully a hundred.

Time now to see Brian "Tamim" Lara "Iqbal" bat.
What are you talking about... Tamim can be better than Saeed Anwar! :))

Where are the normal Bangladeshi crew anyway..?

And then there is Viv "Mohammad Ashraful" Richards too.

Viv Richards Ashraful hai ya Ashraful Viv Richards hai? :13: :P

no reason, it's my favourite character from my favourite film :)

I think Viv Richards is Ashraful. Actually Viv should consider himself very lucky that he is being used in the same sentence as Ashraful. ;-)

Ashraful aur Viv Richards ku milao tu Mohammad Ashraful banta hai. Aai baat samghe mein?

Rubel Hussain once again very expensive and poor. 23 overs, 1 wicket, 109 runs.

With the bowling action he has, you'd expect that he'd be a little more lethal than what his figures reflect.

not quite, but Khabri's explanation clarified it :D

Lara should feel proud too after those couple of boundaries from Tamim, especially one over the slips.

I expect Afridi to play his test cricket just as Tamim is right now. :))

India took 26 years to register there first Test win, where all the set up was laid on by British and still producing lolloy pop and Icepol bowlers look at them in zimbabwe now.

Ah yes, facing those world-beating Zimbabweans.

Bangladesh looking good with the bat here going nicely with thier chase

It's good to see such a big crowd. This is a much better crowd than was present on Day 2 last time Bangladesh were here.

I'm not watching but by the score, Bangladesh's batting has been impressive thus far!

if every time pakitan opners score 70 plus opneing stand i will take it, however i don't think so.

Tamim run out for 55 - was very severe on Bresnan during this knock.

I guess this settles the debate on whether or not Bresnan is a test bowler.

No it doesn't. Bresnan (like the other seamers) has been bowling to a team plan. It's a rather predictable team plan (to bowl short), and Bangladesh will have seen it coming months ago. It's a plan that's not working so far, but you can't write Bresnan off as a Test bowler just on the basis of what.'s happened so far.

BRESNAN needs to improve a lot to be a test match bowler...

he is not ready for test match stuff

Really funny comments above. Will be even funnier when we get to see how the Shahid "16 year old beast" Afridi led Pakistan batsmen cope in England next month. Can't wait to see legends like Salman Butt, Khalid Latif and Khurram Manzoor with my own eyes. In fact I'm gonna go book my tickets now so I don't miss out on a once in a lifetime experience.

Good to see you emerge after BD get a decent start but I expect you to dissapear again once you start collapsing/being battered in the field.

Hey, what happend to Graham Onions?

He did well in the few test matches I remember him playing

Well yes maybe that was a bit hasty, and a bit tongue in cheek. I'm following it on cricinfo and they're really making it seem like he's bowling pies. Let's see how he goes over the summer.

Wow, Bangladesh have really really taken the game to England today. Superb stuff with bat and ball from ball one of today's play.

HOPEFULLY - Bangladesh don't have those collapses where there are in such a dominating position and lose one huge wicket.. which is followed by the rest. It'd be amazing if Bangladesh drew this.. a win is out of question, of course.
