Dhawan can bat like Harby at times, but he is a machine when things go his way. If he scores big, there is no better news for India

India just has the lead of 16, which means India is not really in a great position right now. They would probably need another century from Vijay.

Agree. A collapse can destroy us.

Its just that the odds of a collapse in these conditions isn't that high.

I don't know why everyone is saying if India get 250+, they will win.

With pitch easing out and if it doesn't support spin, England will easily get that target.
 
Oh yesss thank God that dhawan the biggest hack didn't score much now i hope i don't have to watch his rubbish mustache again atleast in test cricket, plz kick him out of indian test team for heavens sake,
 
If India bats till tea tomorrow at the rate of 3, India should be able to add 333 more runs to the current lead. But the big question is will India be able to get England out in 4 sessions?
 
Dhawan wasted a sure shot century.

With players like Dhawan, they need a bit of luck to score big. But if that luck happens, they will destroy the opposition by scoring centuries in double quick time.

Same with Sehwag too. They look good if luck is in their favor. They even look like Viv when in full flow with lady luck smiling on them.

I remember countless times when Viru wasted sure shot centuries only to score aggressive 30's. Dhawan is in the same mold.
 
Sehwag and Dhawan are not even at the same level. Please stop this stupid comparison..

If there is one thing we can learn from this is that you should not try to cut a short wide ball in between the fielders.

That shot cost us well set Pujara (last match) and Dhawan (this match).

If you are going to do that, do it like Rahane. Go OVER the fielders.
 
Sehwag plays aggressively like Viv does NOT equate to Sehwag as batsman being equal to Viv or being compared to Viv.

Same logic here.
 
One question SIF, if Sehwag accomplishes the same thing that Viv did, why do you say one is inferior to the other, in this context?

Cos Sehwag playing in 1 knock doesn't mean he plays in all knocks.

Sehwag isn't rated the same as Viv cos he didn't do much outside SC. Used to get owned a lot in swing conditions (with a few great knocks where things clicked).

but he tends to give away his wicket after playing 50-60 balls it might happen again he did couple of times in SA and NZL
 
This not going to get them anywhere.Two wickets here and India will be left with Dohni and Jadeja.
 
People are exaggerating, there are 2 days and 37 overs left in this match.

Vijay is playing at perfect speed (no need to take risks)

He is grinding England which is exactly what India should do IMO until 4th day tea. Then go all crazy and give themselves 20 overs to get 2 or 3 wickets.

And on 5th day they can win game. Worst case scenario they may need 2nd new ball.
 
We need to get a move on, the pitch has died down there is no reason for the batsman to bog down we need to accelerate the run rate and punish the tired English attack while they are down.
 
vijay playing a real old school test innings never thought he could play so patiently
 
Look at Vijay here. No proper technique, gets beaten time and again, but still doesn't throw it away. Dhawan should feel ashamed of the way he has learnt nothing from his partner even after repeated failures.

Vijay has a good technique. Not as good as Pujara or even Kohli but better than Dhawan. He has off stump awareness, knows how to cover the swing and moves his feet well.

Dhawan is a penniless man's Sehwag to be fair. He hasn't looked terrible this series but way too many brainfades.
