To be honest, our same batsmen survived a lot more swing coming in at 145kph in South Africa. This 130kph trundling shouldn't be as big a challenge as we believe.
The Sun rises in the east.
Pads up Gambhir, you're playing three tests in England.
Actually 130ks is tougher to face than 145 on such a deck as the ball has got more 'opportunity' to move and hoop around.
About to get going. Will India pick Jadeja so he can have a bit more of hows your father with Clouderson? Will Cook get into double digits? Will Dhawan cowlash his way to 29 and out?
Let's see!
Come on, we should just graft until lunch. I don't even mind 30/1.
That was an unplayable ball.
Nothing Dhawan could have done with the technique he had.
I don't think the swing will last long as it's hot and the haze has burned off already. If India get through the first hour it will get easier for them.

I find it hard to believe that for all the hype, the dropped for being a trundler Peter Siddle has a better record than either of these opening bowlers.

I can't believe both of these two get to play on decks like these every now and then and still average 30.50
Its all over now. Lets see the boring 100 run partnership.
Anderson cranking it up to 142kph, swinging it both ways.

The answer to that is that they don't. Headingley used to be a green mamba in the eighties, but every wicket more recently has been a pudding of one sort or another. Until this one.
Jimmy was overcoached early on in his career - they tinkered with his action and messed him up, like they did to Finn. That ruined his figures, though they have slowly been improving slowly since 2010. He's not a Willis or Snow or young Botham - he's just 'good'.
so green pitch to exploit home advantage for England.no criticism.Yet when a pitch takes a bit of turn in India, all hell breaks loose
Commits himself too early IMO
Where have you been? Everyone has accepted home ground advantage...so green pitch to exploit home advantage for England.no criticism.Yet when a pitch takes a bit of turn in India, all hell breaks loose
Rubbish bowling from England.
Attack the stumps chumps![]()
England not making the batsman play enough

If they get it on middle they could nick a few off.Would expect clouderson and broad to bowl better than this on a green wicket

Agreed, still early but they're bowling like how Steyn bowled to us in South Africa: outswinger-outswinger-outswinger-outswinger. All left alone.
Pujara still on zero.
