This is where I would Dhoni to be in with his experience

Game might be over when he comes in at his usual position

This Headingley track will most likely be what is served up in the WC. Flat with a bit of pace and bounce.

Problem for Kohli is in the World Cup he doesn't have Sri Lanka in his group so we won't score much runs in group stages. Instead he will face:

Irfan, Junaid, Wahab, Holder, Roach, Morkel & Steyn

All FAST bowlers and Kohli won't last.
only two threatening bowlers for Kohli here.

We were the worst team of the tournament. I've admitted and I HATED that team.

Farhat, Malik, Shafiq, Kamran.

Now we have:

Fawad, Umar Akmal, Shehzad

all the guys who I've wanted in the team for four years.

The point is those werent flat pitches. Most matches the scores were around 250 IIRC

If India is now going to make excuses for failed chases on easy tracks, then I have no words to say.

That's supposed to be our strength.
Chill you have won the series. Everyone is allowed an off day now and again you can still win it if Dhoni and Raina do what they do.

The most insecure poster of the forum.. you can ignore his whining

Personally feel if we keep tapping the balls, play off these tough spells - things will get easier.

The match is not lost.

Finally.. keep showing some positivity man :))

is that really you SIF?

Its due to the 4 fielder rules. By the 30-35 overs, the bowlers will find it really hard to control the flow of runs.

We have seen this over and over again.

30 overs you score 120-140 - still 300 is not out of reach.

The key here is to NOT lose any wickets because if that happens, game is over.

Is Rayudu really the best India have ? This guy looks like he is a student of the Misbah-Ul-Haq School of batting.

No...Rayudu should increase his SR.

Getting out now is the worst thing possible.

Rayudu should ideally get out around the 180-200 mark. But not now.

The way hes batting, getting out isnt that bad.By the time he'll take us to 200,5 overs will be left

Nope. But sometimes such things happen.

Kedhar Jadhav, Samson and others should be better.

But this guy is a gritty fellow.

Players who have got in can increase their SR. Fawad Alam does that very well. Not saying this guy will do it too but he can.

If he gets out, we are looking at some marathon partnership from Dhoni - Raina which is a bit too much pressure.

Now the aim is to stretch the game till the end.

Hopefully but his better option is to attack.cant rotate strike

I don't see Rayudu batting at 4 in Oz.

Should try Jadhav,Samson,Tiwary

See run rate almost close to 5.

Modern day ODI rules makes it easy for us. Of course, there were some calculated risks taken by us too.

Wickets is very important.

Raina has to cut down on his aggressiveness just a bit (eliminating those risky shots) and the runs will come.

If you don't lose wickets, runs will come.

Lucky you guys have Raina and Dhoni who can chase 10-12 per over easily in the last 10-15 overs

Yeah but to be honest, I am saying Rayudu will improve his SR.

The 4 fielder rule really helps you in the later stages.

I have been watching Fawad Alam's innings (not live but in cricinfo) and I have realized that even if batsman are limited, if they stick on, they will get their SR to 80-85 by the end.

Not comparing Fawad with Rayudu.

Raina is always going to do over 100 if he sticks on.

So Rayudu won't be that big a liability if he sticks on.

In the future though, I don't know. If he is not in form, he might use up a lot of balls and get out.

but at no.4 we need a guy who can rotate strike and not get stuck.Rayudu cant do that

This England attack is a lot better. Swap Broad for Woakes and its a good team. Could also do Rashid for Tredwell but:

Anderson, Broad, Finn, Ali, Tredwell & Stokes. 60 overs there and you have Root as well.

Can't blame Raina though.

It just bounced too much.

Raina played the right shot. His execution was proper.

Unreliable duo on the crease.

Unless Jaddu reaches some Super Saiyan level, this match is going to come to a tame predictable end.
