Rose bowl is probably my favourite looking ground in England, as it sits on top of a flattened hill and has a beautiful golf course spread around the stadium with 360 views.

I went the last ODI pakistan played here in 2010 against England, definitely a bat first pitch especially in this sunny weather and chasing under lights will become pretty difficult even for englands batting as it will reverse 100%. Also last time when we were chasing we had 3 run outs, we will need to field alot better.

Also im torn about what kind of bowling attack i would go with, if we are bowling first i think spinners will be a better option but if we are bowling second i 100% back our fast bowlers to get some reverse and defend us a total. Catch 22 situation

Huge test for Azhar. Both when it comes to captaincy and batting

Forget about the weather. Forecast isn't that bad. Win toss bat first

Come on mate! EDGBASTON! EDGBASTON! for desi's especially it's the best, the facilities at the ground are amazing and after you've watched the game there are so many amazing restaurants to munch at. It is in the heart of the city so if you're more of a country guy it is understandable why you wouldn't prefer it as much. But I'd like to say it's very convenient especially in comparison to the London grounds who offer a similar product.

Haha i have only been Edgbaston once BUT it was the biggest match of my life i have been to, India vs Pakistan 2004 champions trophy and we won !!!!!! But yeah i was 14 at the time so i don't really remember the surrounding areas of the stadium. I know half way through the match my uncles left and came back with proper banging desi munch. Also that match was alot of trouble, both sets of fans were throwing beer bottles at each other and i was pretty young.

I like rose bowl though because i find it to be a beautiful stadium the surrounding area is just class and cause its englands newest stadium the facilities are top as well. Though for atmosphere and how sub content like the pitch is Oval is the best stadium to watch a Pakistani team in if u like in the UK. But yeah its an absolute nightmare to get to and and go home from. Also Lords is the worst ground to visit as a fan, too strict and the whole stadium is catered to keep the members happy rather then the 25000 seated fans. If you aren't in one of those yellow and orange ties you get treated to an awful experience watching cricket at Lords.

I think I attended a game during that tournament, may have been Pakistan vs Kenya. Am a local there but from the perspective of someone from out of the city I think it's just so convenient. Not been Lords, was supposed to go this week but I have exams next week sadly so am going to miss the game :( Will look to go southampton one day, I think in the past I've been put off by my lack of knowledge in regards to the city as I've not been there before.

Can't see Nawaz playing. Should be Wahab/Amir/Gul/Imad/Shah as the main bowlers. Playing Shah could well be a huge mistake though as these pitches will cater the batsmen more often with little to no turn.

Is it on Sky Sports HD 2 ???

They're showing something on SL :S

We better play well. Slept 4 hours for this game. Don't know how long I can keep doing this for this team in ODIs

If anybody finds a live streaming from youtube please pass it onto me

Just stream sky sports 2

I'm at work and sports website are banned. Youtube isn't bad and I streamed the ireland match flawlessly, was hoping the same would happen with the England matches.

Hawkeye it's started on sky sports 2. Nice intro

Pak should bat first if they win the toss.

If Pak can some how past close to 300, they will be in with a decent chance. England has a tendency to collapse against left arm spin in ODI's :jaddu

If England bats first, they will surely win this.

Yasir Shah not playing today, you'll be pleased with that from Azhar aliasad1998

Yup. Good to see they realise it too. Plus a specialist spinner unless he's amazing should not be preferred in LOIs over all rounders

Stokes will not be bowling today. Will be a specialist batsman.

England's bowling looks really weak. Their batting is beastly. Gotta aim for a high score

Gotta get 320

300 is a minimum against England.

If Sharjeel fires, Pak can score over 300 easily. Going by history, ODI pitches in England are flat beds. Just swing the bat through the line and it will be a 4 or 6.

Exactly. They have poor bowling too

Shocked Nawaz is playing tbh. Don't think his bowling is good enough at this stage.

From the squad, I think Sami Aslam and Rizwan are better options than Hafeez and Sarfaraz respectively but will take a couple of failures from the incumbents to have that happen. Happy with the bowling lineup picked.

This shud b t overs' share

3 seamers 10 each=30

Imad 8,Azhar 2=10
Nawaz 6, Malik 4= 10

Weak bowling ?

Mark Wood bowled at blistering pace and made Joe Root look like an amateur in the T20 Blast.

Liam Plunkett has pace, good death bowler and can reverse it.

Chris Woakes troubled us in the Tests.

The only weakness are the spinners though Rashid has improved in LOIs.

Nawaz and Malik will share the 5th bowlers quota. I think they are good enough.

Well Pakistan is always a reactive team so hopefully this is the last we see of Hafeez. As far as Sarfraz is concerned he is still better than Rizwan. Rizwan has a genuine weakness against leg spin and was frequently being troubled by Adil Rashid.

England's Last five matches in Southampton : L L L L L
Pakistan's Last 5 ODIs : L L L L L (Excluding associate nation Ireland)

starsports.com is not playing this. It's playing SL versus Aus. Any idea where to watch it in India?

What a shame no Hassan Ali  loser Hafeez is playing and Sami Aslam is out  when will they learn :(

Well just pray that Hafeez doesnt score too much. Moreover he played it very smart even if you drop him now he has the trump card of clearing the bowling test and getting back in the team as an all rounder.
The effectiveness of his action will not matter as he will get in on reputation. Professor just nailed it

Azhar better not get bogged down. 2 fielders outside with one at third man. Why are our batsmen afraid to go aerial. Hit the ball over the inner circle and get 4

I hope someone scores a hundred for Pakistan. Ideally someone in the top 4.

That means the result will be a TIE today then :)))

England batting line up can even chase 330 easily.

Pakistan's should get the sling tv urdu package only $25/month, has three sports channel and tons of urdu and world channels.

great for cord cutters!

I hope Imad Wasim runs through the English

Why the big deal that there's no Yasir??? I'm really happy he's not playing

should have played Sami Aslam instead of Hafeez
