England v Pakistan | 2nd Test | Manchester | Jul 22-26, 2016 | Day 1

Aamer dismissds Hales - Inswinging delivery - 86mph - stumps flying - crowd silenced with rare boo's.... Aamer celebrates like a plane. Brilliant!

Hales didn't look settled at all against Amir, well deserving wicket for Amir.

Fuller length did the damage, don't be scared, keep bowling that length [emoji1312][emoji1312][emoji1312][emoji1312]

Yep that was coming - this early spell was too good to not get a wicket.

Amir getting his reward for pitching the ball up. You need a fuller length in England and that was a peach to dismiss Hales.

Beauty!
Could have had him earlier but Asad and the slips are standing too close as the commies rightly pointed pointed out

I must say I love listening to Michael holding, his analysis is so accurate and hes very knowledgeable. Plus comes across as a down to earth person.

Hales doesn't survive quality swing well for that sake who does, two talents living upto Potential in Pak team Amir,Yasir.

Guys I think its time you all took a break from this Amir bashing. Or just dont watch when he bowls. Amir got Cook flashing through fourth slip within 2 overs and has now cleaned up Hales.

Stop trying to prove a non-existent point. He's back and he's here to stay. Don't like it? Sod off to where someone would actually listen to you.

This is wonderful bowling by Amir.

amir had him on toast lol..

now we need to get bavarchi and we can put pressure onto the middle order. This is the big one for england so again I expect a big partnership from these two

Terrific shot! :four:

The Ball was pretty good but the shot was brilliant

Completely agree. My favorite bar none.

As a kid, I always got that big Test match feel whenever Michael Holding came on to commentate.

Root plays too aggressive for an Englishman not sure that necessarily suits the English pitches.

actually a better batsman would have easily defended that and a batsman like Dhoni would have sent that into the stands

You name does complete justice to you, agreed on the gap though which you sadly didn't mention.

If you can break this Cook-Root partnership, you're into this middle-order which you know is vulnerable and can be dismissed for cheaply.

This pair is now only 90 runs away from getting 100 run partnership. Get them out.

The bowlers have come close to getting cook out but haven't yet bowled the ball that is just right.

Dammit Rahat! You can bowl too full to Cook and expect to get away with it but never even slightly too short
