Great delivery from Bresnan.

Tendulkar time...

Tendulkar in, and clouds also coming over the ground. Great! :D

Still a chance for England to make something of the session.

A wicket's just fallen - Bootha is spot on to blast the decision to persist with Trott.

Nasser: So who would you bring on, one of the seamers as opposed to Swann?
Bootha: I'd have one of my bowlers on yes.

Heh.

Botham refuses to commentate until Trott is taken off :)))

Wow, didn't know there were so many Indian fans in England

Without wanting to incite too much hatred, it's a stark contrast to last summer's apathy from the British Pakistani fans.

this is the first time since 1911 that the No 1 and 2 Test High Scorers have been batting together!!

Wow....that is some record (they did in 1st test as well)...hope they really do well this time ......:59:

One of these two before lunch would be massive for England and even out the game. Right now India on top.

With the inexperienced and fragile batsmen to come for India, I guess it's advantage England. What a good bowling attack England has:asif

Yuvraj, Raina and Dhoni at 5, 6 and 7. None are brilliant test players so there is always an opportunity for England against them. India would really have to make a pig's ear of this not to take a lead though - they've done all the hard work already.

haha..well..
I am watching cricket in willow youtube..somebody made a comment there quoting bbc!!!

Never quote the BBC...apart from the Test Match Special team they are a bunch of idiots when it comes to cricket.

Tendulkar playing with a stright bat here... Hope for swing and maybe an edge here..

good shot by tendulkar.. lovely.. tendulkar loooking for a big score here.

Jimmy has really poor I feel.. He has the knack of picking wickets.. but still poor bowling.

I do not think so given the quality of bowlers on display. These England bowlers are just too good.

Anyway, at Lunch it's even stevens. A slight advantage to England though.

Yesterday at Lunch

England were 69/2

and then 6 wickets came in 2nd session!

Hoping for the same today with Indians

:D

Bharat on top by far and looking to build a solid platform.

Big Big lead on the cards here.

India will take the lead in the evening session unless England can take a handful of wickets in the afternoon. Anything could happen.

yup , sure we are in a good position , but i will only be comfortable once reach englands total with at leat 5-6 wickets in hand .

Wonderful batting display from Laxman. Some really gorgeous shots from this elegant batsmen. Rahul as usual rock solid in defense and Sachin looking in positive frame of mind.

Great session this for India and hopefully they continue to my morning script throughout the day:)

A fascinating day still awaits us...

Nah it will happen. You got two gods at the crease against mere mortal pie chucker bowlers.

No. They are good batsmen against a good bowling line up with conditions favoring the bowlers more then the batsmen. I can comfortably say that England have got a tight grip over the match at the moment.

India are the team in the ascdency atm but things can change very quickly. It would be quite astounding if they don't get a lead here.

I think India will get a lead, but Broad's innings should keep England in the game.

Guys don't underestimate your team, the first match was just you guys getting warmed up. BIG BIG lead on the cards trust me.

Sky Sports lunchtime feature trying to paint Murali as a non-chucker. Hmm :p

In an ideal world for India, both these fellows score hundreds before Yuvraj and MSD go berserk and in the process generate a 300+ lead.

Ross Emerson defending his abysmal umpiring on Sky. Go away.

Morning gents...

Fascinating first session so far, I was lucky enough to wake up and catch the last 30 minutes. Hoping for big hundreds from Dravid and Sachin in the remaining 2 sessions now!

Thought this was too good to pass up though, in chronological order, some classic whinging:

Anyone who thinks that decision was right needs to explain what that noise was. Don't bother replying to my post with Rauf cheerleading unless you can answer my question.

Still haven't been told what the sound was if it wasn't an edge.

Ian Bell cheated HotSpot in the Ashes, it can definitely be done.

Laxman was rooted to the spot and the bat was miles away from the pad. What was the noise?

No Swann going to hurt England a lot as the day goes on. Best chance of them competing was to get a few down in the first hour. The seamers will tire in the afternoon. God bless Hotspot.

Yep. Laxman hit the ball.

Of course he shook his head. He didn't want to be out. The edge, the appeal and the speed of the review were very convincing. Even Warne admitted it was out and he hates us.

Watch the incident again. The noise was blatantly an edge. Certainly not the batsman groaning!

I've seen Ian Bell cheat his way to a hundred in an identical situation. Nothing will convince me that Laxman missed that.

Buddy i thought you lot had your eyes set on the big thing, the #1 rank and i see you crying about a decision for 15 minutes now for which you don't even have much of a case

Not happening :asif

Like I said yesterday, India have been getting the rub of the green with the decisions and England are still ahead in the series. That incident was poor but I'm not worried yet.

Of course not, but until a fan, commentator or umpire can tell me what that noise was, I think it's pretty obvious what happened.

Hope all your guys' honest observations/opinions/suggestions may come true and Indian team makes a match of this. :)

Lots of interesting cricket is left, lots of fightback still needs to be done from India here...

Glad I provoke so much interest. That must have taken a while...

I'm not a Murali fan but Emerson had no right to come on this thing and defend his run-out mistake. Poor stuff all round.

Trust me, faaaaaaar less than it took you to write all that. The magic of ctrl + F and click :)

If that incident had been Sreesanth bowling to Pietersen then there would have been a lot of posts from a lot of Indians. Everything is a question of perspective. At least I don't hide my views.
