And that' the difference between Dravid and the other Indian greats. He can play like this, and gradually start to build momentum. Sachin would get out if he tried to block like this.
 
Big appeal against Laxman , was there an inside edge ?
 
There was a definite sound and the bat was miles away from the pads. So Laxman got away with this one.
 
Without the doubt, the hot spot does not catch the faint edges. I remember Steve Harmison saying that you can put stuff like vasesline on the edge of your bat and the hot spot does not catch the faint edges.

There was a clear sound there, could be nothing but the ball going past the edge.

Have India figured out a way to trick the hot spot technology?
 
Even Snicko doesn't show anything, give up my Pakistani brothers :facepalm:
 
snicko shows a big sound when the ball crosses the bat, so unless VVS make a sound with his mouth, that was out i think
 
Hmm, surprising to see hotspot fail. :13: It uses infrared imaging, I don't see how it could have missed it. :20:

No its been said since day one by cricketers thamselves e.g. Harmison that players were working on different ways in trying to trick it especially with faint edges.

The Snick O meter clearly showed that was out.
 
Anyone who thinks that decision was right needs to explain what that noise was. Don't bother replying to my post with Rauf cheerleading unless you can answer my question.

I have a feel it was egde... Laxman always looks confuse when getting lbw/bowl or egde....
 
Military technology failing, that's not good. Guess Aussies aren't that good at it :))

Just now on Sky, Snick O meter clearly showed the edge.

Hence Arthertons and Warne's comment, that Warney's initial hunch was correct that is out

I wonder if its possible to coat the bat with something that doesn't leave a hot mark when edged..



not saying thats what happened but an intriguing thought

I've found Snicko to be far more reliable than HotSpot. They should simply improve the technoogy, so that Snicko can be available within 60 seconds, instead of the current 5-7 minutes which is too late. Surely it can't be that hard? Either that, or require specially formulated high friction paint to be applied to all bats, so that the edges show up clearly on HotSpot.
 
Even Shastri said there was a sound while watching snicko meter, he said it might be of the bat touching the pad. The fact is that bat was miles away from the pads.
 
Been all over India really, only a matter of time before the breakthrough comes.

Said even Snicko showing nothing, it did show something after the ball had gone past the bat
