Run rate is something to watch as well.

OUT

It was a poor airy fairy innings from Bell, he does this sometimes.

Non-English fans always wonder why a lot of us are never convinced by Bell, well this is why.

Yeah poor innings, good for him that this is only a tour match.

Doesn't matter if you get a hundred when somebody else has already got one, if you fail when you need to succeed you will never be a great player. Sorry Ian

If this is how they are gonna play against Pakistan their bubble will burst soon. They got another match yet with Pakistan A haven't they?

Morgan also gone 126/5.

Pakistan just need to choke England with spin.

Let's see what happens in next match, the guy getting runs will struggle against Hafeez and Ajmal plus he is not a pietersen who can take the match away in a session.

Brilliant comment from Cricinfo comments: :)))
Can someone tell me which team is the Combined XI, because its very confusing. Both teams have players from all over the world.

Could be just a blip, if anything it may stun England into action however I'm sure England have already been meticulous in their planning so hopefully all this will be doing is demoralizing them. Still a day to go though so the Asociated could yet crumble.

England at the moment have proved nothing outside home except for the Ashes and even than it was more to do with Aussies being crap.

Any links guys? I want to watch England getting spanked by minnows please.

Malakian bro you out there? I need a link!

This isn't good

Law of Averages, quality batting line-ups don't fail again and again, thats one tour failure outta the way.

not the first time Barbie has been asked to save England's batting blushes.

Don't be silly, this hour of play proves England are gonna lose the test series 5-0.

Where are malaikan and greek scavenger now??
Hiding in their caves. Greek scavenger claims he's a millionaire investment banker who works 14 hours a day (even though he was at pp for 14 hours a day) so he must be busy trading stocks. :p

Home= quality

Away= unknown quantity

Giving them too much credit here, sure don't see them collapsing like this again but it has exposed them a tiny little and if anything will make our lads confident against them that little bit more when they we the scorecard.

Cricinfo refuses to report the trashing England's receiving. Still the headline says "Cook fifty steadies England XI" :)))

Oh no doubts, I don't think anyone can confidently predict how England will bat here but really, at the end of the day, the pitches are relatively flat in UAE so you wouldn't expect them to fail often.

yep like you say bros, the beginning of the end.

42.1
Viljoen to Cook, OUT, clipping it straight to the keeper, fant edge, good low catch by Shahzad again.
36.4
Rankin to Bell, OUT, excellent delivery shaping away,Bell must be disappointed.
30.4
Rankin to Pietersen, OUT, inviting the batsman to drive, good delivery and brilliantly caught by Shahzad.
16.4
Hamid Hassan to Trott, OUT
IJL Trott c †Mohammad Shahzad b Hamid Hassan 1 (8b 0x4 0x6) SR: 12.50

Afghan keeper averages 69 and seems he don't drop catches :)

Hamid out of match with injury, replaced by Dockrell

Apparantly, from the cricinfo commentary, there have been quite a few edges and plays and misses to the spinner.

I've seen him bowl, while decent he isn't anything special. Good signs?

LOL what you on about how many people here are going berserk and saying we are going to thrash them? It's a good sign as far as we are concerned and true number 1 team wouldn't find themselves too many times in the given situation but it is only their first game so expect them to get much better to be honest.

Lets run them over with Hafeez and Ajmal already.

Early days yet but you never know. If they are struggling against spin which doesn't make a lot of sense to be honest than its only going to get harder but a few of their players are very good against spin.

well like you say they're in the situation once, meaningless for now. 2 losses in 19 tests home and away, sounds like a number 1 team to me ;-)

England just only recently came to the UAE. Will take some time to adjust to the conditions. We (Pakistan) also sometimes bat poorly even in practice games on foreign tours when we first arrive on a tour as do most teams. England should not be taken lightly regardless of the results of this match. Also, how bout the Combined team...doing real well and fought back after a poor start yesterday!

Mainly home and also yes they are the best team going currently and don't want to take away from that when I said a true number 1 team I meant more in regards to a team who can dominate nearly everywhere like Aussies.

Lightly? Your talking as if we are favorites. As I said it doesn't mean much but mentally it will affect all teams concerned when they see the scorecard.

Hmm...hard to know what to make of it.

England always lose warm-up matches, or at least the old England did. The new England performed well in their Ashes warm-up games in 2011 and were very focused.

Could be anominous sign for Flower & Co.

don't even know why Davies is playing tbh. Prior is number one choice and needs maximum practice before the tests

I am sure the fact that we have done so well past year or so and the fact that England are no where near the team they are at home, this result will make them think - make them insecure. I hope they are demoralized.

^^^Prior was born in form (in tests anyway).

He don't need no practice

Majid Haq, their 2nd spinner has just come into the attack, you have to wonder what the captain was thinking.

Don't even think England care how Davies does atm, not going to play in any scenario other than injury.

Where was I? I was sleeping you know. Given that the match started at what, 6AM GMT and its a sunday?

And even I have to :)) at the scoreline.

wow I just tuned in .. is it the same wicket .... broad was complaining about .. that its not easy to take wickets on it :p bring it on combo 159/8

So from what I've read from the commentary. It seems England were playing stupid shots as opposed to actually good bowling?

Broad got caught at silly point. I mean, ***?

Any link bro?

BTW, England will play Pakistani spinners better. Its just that they didn't watch the videos of this combined XI's bowlers. You know how English and Aussie teams roll...they're video warriors.
