Aussies looking not less than 400. Early wicket of smith today and india right in to the game. Looking forward good cricket

LOL we are going to pile ok 550 Simth and Marnus are going to make these Indians cry today.

We are back to the good old days of the FLAT wicket. I don't blame Cricket Australia for making this type of wicket, they simply could not afford to lose back to back test series to India. Overall this can either be an Aus win or a draw from here... That wicket as of now is so dead flat...

On flat pitches. They went to their holes in last two tests where the pitches were lively especially that sand paper criminal.

India bowling with a plan. Going for short bowling from the get go

It won't be easy for the Aussies

Aussies need to get a move on here, new ball due in 16 overs. Need to add another 50-70 runs

Wont make much difference, the wicket is dead flat. There is absolutely nothing in it for the Indians, its a flat Phatta, like the wicket which Jayasuriya scored 300 + plus vs the Indians a few decades ago..

But you can always nip a wicket with the new ball and Bumrah is potent. That could open the gate to go into the weaker lower order. Can’t take anything for granted with the Aussies right now.

Jadeja giving bothing away , Aussies will have to take chance against him to get runs.

Bumrah has bowled well this series but if you compare his speed in this series to 2018 there's a big difference. He bowled 140-150 last time with fastest reaching 153, on this pitch you need that intensity

Here comes rain...exactly what I wanted. Hope it rains for few hours :srini

Why is this ground staff using Chaadars to cover the wicket? Don’t they have proper covers?

CA is going through financial cricis....so chaadar is all they could afford.

14 overs left before the second new bowl. Looks like Saini will get the new bowl alongside Bumrah in place of Siraj this time.

Hasnt been the same since his injury, on top of that covid lay off didnt help him get back into some sort of form.

Give him ine more year and i think he will be back to pre injury form

Put some respect on Sir Jadeja’s name- clutch player, always has been.

Important time in context of the game. If India can get couple of quick wickets here they might be able to restrict Aus under 320. A good 50-60 runs partnership here and Aussies will be looking at 350+.

Why he didn't review that by the way.. they've all three review left..

Bumrah is easily indias best ever pace bowler.
I am talking all time here.

Jaddu got a few wickets, but him and ashwin were bowling pies.

Think seamers should have come on earlier.

Bumrah showing his magic again

Bumrah is special, gave absolutely nothing away on a pancake, I feel he still has not quite found his pre-injury from but making up for it with extreme accuracy. The only other bowler I have seen who was consistently this accurate irrespective of pitch and condition was Mcgrath.

Everywhere except NZ, for some reason, none of the Indian bowlers no matter how good they are can perform in NZ.. Its strange considering NZ are not that great batting wise ever in their history of cricket and much less bowlers than Bumrah and Kapil Dev has had a lot of success there.

Pitch is good to bat. Aus should still get 400 plus here.

Siraj has done well so far but he is bowling 129-133ks on Australian speedguns. At his age thats a bit of a worry as his workload increases.

Has he played in England? Whats his record like there.
If he has done well in england than his record in nz might be an anamoly.
If not, than i guess his style is perhaps not that conducive to those pitches.

Bumrah played 4 t20is and 5 odis in nz prior to the tests. So he was a bit tired going into the test series

But it's worth noting that Williamson struggled against bumrah alot in those 2 tests

All of them can bat and score runs.

Yeah but you back the bowlers to have the upper hand against them. Maybe one might score a decent 40 odd but India would be will in the game.

He will be in the future. I think currently zaheer is a bit better. Bumrah hasn't played a test in india yet

He might fall away due to an injury, but the current version i feel is better than anyone i have watched from India.
Zaheer was prone to getting hit. Bumrah's control of length and line is the best ive seen from India

Wade is a loose canon. There was no need for that brain f*rt

Have any of you tried Bumrah's action? I was playing cricket last year after ages and copied his action. Bowl comes really well and gives that extra bounce. I will be surprised if many young bowlers dont imitate his action in future.

If one of them scores 40 then we are talking about 60-70 runs coming including both ends. Keeper-batman and Smith are there. If smith goes quickly then what you are saying may be true, otherwise, I think Aus has a good shot at 400 plus. Anyway, the pitch looks pretty flat. I liked the first two tests much better.

If India put a good total in first inning then this match will be dull.
