India defeat England by 3 wickets in the 1st ODI

Didn't see a ball but I've maintained that this England side has guts and goes for the jugular

However the bowling is second rate. All can be taken for the cleaners

What special with that lineup,most of them will be taken into cleaners unless something strange happens

Chasing 350 anywhere in the world is hard but with arguably the best chaser in the history it won't be a huge task at home
 
Not Surprised at all with England peformance. England are great ODI side. But India will not go down fighting.

Don't know exactly, but I remember India chasing down 350 twice in a series against Australia, in 2013 I think. Kohli scored a 50-ball hundred in one of those.

Below par?How do you judge that.Because Pakistani bowlers smashed for 440 and Indian just 350?

Yeah, exactly. Dhoni and Kohli are only good for chasing down 300 scores against poor bowling attacks. They're going to choke today. :sanga

Because Root played a poor innings, Hales didn't fire and no one got a century. These are the best bowlers India has and they got creamed at home. We were playing away and were playing our 'B' attack.

The bowling attack that consists of Amir, Wahab, Yasir, Hasan Ali is "B" while the attack that is missing Shami and Bhuvi is "A". Yeah agree.

OD's in india have been full of 300+ scores in the past few years. Pitches are made to murder the bowlers. Just checkout that Australia series a few years ago. You can hit through the line and get max reward for it.

Why didnt Kohli tell him to attack?Whats the point of him being captain if hes gonna respect whatever previous skipper does
 
Ashwin was never a great ODI bowler. Was even outperformed by Zamba in IPL and often gets smashed by Maxwell. He always bowled negative lines in ODI which reflects his average stats. Should have picked our best ODI bowler Mishra. Mishra Bhuvi Shami are three of the best ODI bowlers we have. All were missing for this match. Umesh should be restricted to only tests. He is horrible in LOI like Ishanth. Thought Kohli was judicious enough in getting the combination right for each format.

Your posts at times are embarrassing and make our fans look beyond foolish.

We had our A attack against England and still got smashed.
 
Eng are gonna want to have Kohli and Dhoni's wickets to maintain a win here.

Our neighbours' spinners bowled much better in AUS, and our spinners getting tonked in these pitches

Had Rahul stayed at the crease, Kohli's job would've been easier.
 
Kohli's positioning of his feet to give himself space to work the ball around is excellent. Great use of the wrists too.
 
From last few games it seems like only kohli and dhoni knows how to make runs...
 
England miss someone like Mark Wood who provides pace of 90mph+ and can make something happen even on flat decks.

Willey's given them the start they need. Both openers gone in just 2 overs. What's important is now Woakes and Co. trying to get Kohli. If they get Kohli, then they win. If Kohli stays, India wins 100%.

Never understood why selectors keep picking Dhawan. His batting is total fluke, has always been the case.
 
Now keep watching till 30th over. Don't think any wicket will fall... And not many runs gonna be scored too
 
Dhoni hid behind yuvi.So much for coming up the order and expressing himself without captaincy pressure. Dhoni was always an accumulator . High required rate chases he always try to hide behind others.
 
God.. what has happened to dhoni... Such changes in just one ODI... Till last game everyone was fine.

I hope Kohli realises after this loss who need to be booted out even if they are your friends. Just a 3 match series so good prep for CT don't mind losing if it results in our odi team revamp.

Yuvraj was not the problem here. He was looking fluent. What about dhoni? Dhawan?
 
Feel for kohli though. He absolutely hate loosing and is never complacent about that and rest of team just not good
 
Even afridi looks good while hitting, rather it's how you go about t chase..

His Aggressive 15 doesn't do any help..

Pandya bowled well I think considering the wicket. He is constantly improving. Umesh was bowling filth.Problem is selectors aren't ready to experiment much in bowling department bring ing in youngsters
 
Pakistani commentators need to learn from Indian commentators.
They are hardly criticizing their team or players.

Even when English ( i think was Nasser) started to talk abt how negitive Ashwin bowled today and how it was disappoing to see him today, Indians shift to team management only, nothing abt Ashwin or captain's planning/field placings.

Ashwin is India's next best ODI bowler next to Shami.

In terms of clutch performances across LOI tournaments, Ashwin is India's best ODI bowler by a mile post 2011.

I like how narrative easily changes based on 1 game where he was garbage.
 
Should have picked another pacer instead of Rashid, he's useless and overrated.

I want a Kohli double ton

Rahul has disappointed me more than anyone else,doesn't seem to take his chances seriously guess he is backed by Kohli.

Nah Nasser is a very good commie who appreciates good performance.

So many instances where he could have been super biased in test series but he chose to take a view that was the right one.
