Dhobi means a washerman. It also happens to be the caste name for people who were historically employed in this profession. There are Muslim Dhobis too! Baretha, Charhoa and Gazar are all Muslim Dhobi castes.

Dhoni is a Rajput, btw. Not that any of this has got anything to do with cricket, but just my two cents on the issue.

The Team for England looks much much better this time around with Bell and Bresnan gone. As for India, I am not very sure. I would have liked another seamer, but with the Mumbai wicket, just maybe Harbhajan could be the man.

Time for Gambhir to go....his confidence is all shot to hell. He needs to put some quality time into working his issues out, away from the team.
 
Unlucky not to have a second wicket so far. Need to keep plugging away I guess.
 
The difference between Ahmedabad and Mumbai tracks is obvious. The problem with Mumbai is that it becomes nearly unplayable in the 4th innings. Doesnt hold quite as well. Otherwise, it is easily way better that a lot of the others in India. Gives something to bowlers throughout the game.

On the other hand, the Adelaide track seems to have been imported by the aussies from hyderabad.

If you are old enough to remember that Miandad's 100th test was on a "flat" wicket then you must remember that ALL four test of that series were played on flat wickets and all four tests were drawn.

read in a book..that since the earlier matches were drawn, imran had asked for a bowling friendly pitch..but since it was miandad's 100th test, another flat pitch was prepared..

yes, i am not complaining about it and inzi deserved a flat pitch too..so does sehwag..
 
Well-deserved wicket. England bowled superbly to Sehwag today.
 
other batsmen get out because the bowler is too good for them...sehwag gets out because he is too good for the bowlers

Oh boy....and to Panesar of all people.....

I thought Sehwag was being way too careful here. He should have attacked Monty earlier instead of letting him bowl whatever he wished.

Good Captaincy from Cook....he removed the short leg just before the ball so that the Shot Sehwag tried was open. And got the results.
 
Monty has brought more control into the bowling , If you give away too many runs easily , you will be under pressure, test matches is a patience game for bowlers also.
 
india is going to win this test anyway..i want a sehwag hundred in his 100th test to go with his debut hundred... #ATG #respect

he is.. he is an underachiever with the talent he has..often he gets out because he treats the bowlers casually..less talented batsmen play with caution and inflate their averages..sehwag doesnt care about averages..he just wants to punish the bowlers.. ATG :bow:
