What's new

IPL | Bangalore Vs Kolkata | Bangalore | 18/04/08 (video of match now added)

Can Macca get to 150?? 150 in 20 overs would be epic.

Lol 16 runs off Kallis's over, the 19th one and 1 ball to go.

Hafeez should just block this last ball so Macca keeps strike.

LOL I need to see the highlights of these last few innings - this is carnage of the highest order!!

Unbelievable stuff from Macca.

19.2 Kumar to McCullum, SIX, and thats lucky Number 13! Another pull for six, thats sailing away
This is the highest score in any form of Twenty20. Take a bow, Brendon McCullum.
19.1 Kumar to McCullum, SIX, going, going, gone! McCullum pulls a full toss over midwicket

Praveen will bowl.

End of over 19 (21 runs) - Kolkata Knight Riders 200/3
Mohammad Hafeez 5* (3b 1x4) JH Kallis 4-0-48-1
BB McCullum 136* (67b 9x4 11x6) AA Noffke 4-0-42-1

McCullum will have strike for the last over.
18.6 Kallis to Mohammad Hafeez, FOUR, now Hafeez gets going, paddling the last ball into the gap
18.5 Kallis to McCullum, 1 run, full on the stumps and he pushes to mid-on
18.4 Kallis to McCullum, FOUR, flashes at this, losing a hand off the bat, but Noffke misfields on the rope
18.3 Kallis to McCullum, SIX, he's hit that one to Mysore! Incredible! Walks down and tonks this over long-on for six and the crowd goes berzerk
18.2 Kallis to McCullum, no run, misses out on this one, swinging wildly
18.1 Kallis to McCullum, SIX, he is not done! Kallis bowls a full toss and McCullum pulls over mid-on for another flat, flat six ... this is the second-highest Twenty20 score ever
Twelve balls left. McCullum on strike. He's rocked the Chinnaswamy tonight.

150 not out for Macca - hope he can carry his bat through the innings. Few more balls!!

That was total carnage! One-man show really, McCullum pretty much destroyed every bowler that bowled to him! 158 runs in a T20 match, unbelievable innings

And a SIX off the last ball! Macca not out on 158 in 20 overs. Amazing!!

Afridi cant hold McCullum's finger after this innings.

Now this was beastly

14 sixes and 9 fours for Macca - 120 of his 158 runs have gone to or over the rope.

Is it me or are the boundaries really really short? That flick last ball from McCullum wouldnt have travelled for six on any ground unless the boundaries were brought in considerably

Who is going to chase these 222 runs.........lets see;
Jaffar
Dravid
or Kallis??

:)) :)) :))

u joking....

those sixes have been in the crowd....they can't bring the crown in that much...lol

huge sixes

All hail the new beast..dear administrators..kindly delete the "Beastly almanacs" of afridi in the forum...Its McCullum..

Last two overs:

End of over 20 (22 runs) - Kolkata Knight Riders 222/3
BB McCullum 158* (73b 9x4 14x6) P Kumar 4-0-38-0
Mohammad Hafeez 5* (3b 1x4) JH Kallis 4-0-48-1

That was as fine an innings you will ever see, believe me. He teed off and never looked back. The crowd is delirious, never mind that their home side has been pasted. A fatigued McCullum says he's knackered and had a hard time hearing with the din. He's sheepishly "ecstatic" to get past 150 on IPL debut.

19.6 Kumar to McCullum, SIX, he has done it with a six! McCullum, you beauty! Just picks that off the pads for his 14th six, this one over wide long-on, to finish on 158 not-out ... Kolkata post a massive 22 for 3 to boot .. McCullum remains there all innings
Last ball ... what can he do?
19.5 Kumar to McCullum, 2 runs, full in the zone, he drives past mid-on for two more, excellent running
19.4 Kumar to McCullum, no run, slower ball just outside off, he misses and its a dot ball
19.3 Kumar to McCullum, 2 runs, full on the stumps, he walks across and clips two to get to 150 ... legend!
19.2 Kumar to McCullum, SIX, and thats lucky Number 13! Another pull for six, thats sailing away

Hmm not sure. Not taking anything away from this amazing knock, but the boundaries are just too short. I dont think this is the last time we'll see such a knock in this competition

@ oz..I'm not surprised...thats 20-20!!..I'd be surprised if 120 of his 158 runs came with ball not crossing or going over the rope.. :D

McCullum's done this before though, against Bangladesh. Geez if this was an ODI he may have broken Anwar's record.

.....and at this rate may have scored 395 runs!! :O

Agarkar will show his Beastliness too....... in another life maybe if there is one or two or three, maybe eight

Dravid should send Boucher and Cam White further up the order.

I watched it live and the boundaries seemed medium sized, atleast bigger than what you have in NZ.

Brandon's batting was nothing less then zina bil jaber , he should be charged with the crime of raping the Banglorians.

Yep, the Bangalore bowlers will be swabbing their bums with tissue after that. :O

A small piece of good news for B'lore team is that they have 2 players in their rank who were involved in biggest ever ODI chase against team whose skipper is out there defending the total yet again....

Lalit Modi and Co will be cheering too - they couldn't have asked for a more epic start to the IPL than this epic knock by Macca.

McCullum a beast??
LOL.

In 5 tests vs Australia, he averages 16.
In 8 against SAF, he averages 22.

"The Beast of Small Things" may be.

why ppl can't appreciate a knock...is beyond me...

Dravid n Jaffer to start with Kallis to come. Surely result prediction is not too difficult.
