What's new

Liverpool FC 2025/26 Season

On a serious note, it was poor from Oliver not to stop play, the directive is with head injuries you stop play

HOWEVER I have absolutely zero sympathy for Liverpool when it comes to this, at Anfield back in 2021 we had Schar/Hayden with a head injury and the late Jota scored an equaliser, plenty of Liverpool fans at the time (not on here) said we were whingeing so I hope they don't do the same

The Liverpool thread has received a much needed injection of spice after all these years.

@KingKhanWC - we know you're here as mentioned by others, we can all see the last time you were online. Looks like you're getting good esim deals in Peshawer. Did Mamoon supply them to you?

Come on the Mighty Reds. Four points off Arsenal. We could be in a position to finish in Top four?

@KingKhanWC . What's happening. You were very confident with 21. Lol. Its all falling apart.

With the amount of shots towards the target LFC should have scored 5/6 goals but were shooting blanks.

Utd battled well with their biggest win of the season.

Liverpool arent good enough with these new players to win the league this season.

Its Manchester City's time to compete or Arsenals to bottle it now.

Champions League must be the main focus now for LFC.

@KingKhanWC bro how are we. Yes you did miss alot of chances in the second half. Had we taken our chances in the opening half hour, Anfield would have been empty lol.

Its still early days regarding the Title. Theres no peak Man City in the Group chasing for the Title. Arsenal look solid, City look good going forward but very shaky at the back and @Geordie Ahmed bro is spot on. City's upcoming fixtures are really tricky including playing you guys. This will determine were City stand to be honest. At the moment it's all Haaland.

Arsenal look Solid and my pick to win it. But there has to be concerns on Gyokeres. He looks average at the moment and there is lack of Goals so that needs to be rectified.

Liverpool have a hugh balance issues. Dom and Slob were set up wierd. They were virtually occupying our CB's leaving Gravenberch isolated on his own. Really do think Slot is tinkering to much. The 3 major concerns for yiu guys is kerkez Salah, Isak. They seem to be really struggling.

Not expecting anything from Liverpool tomorrow. Man U are desperate for wins. Going to be a very tough match.
As predicted. A disaster. Slot is under severe pressure. Seems he cannot handle this group of players. Ekitike should be starting. Needs to drop Salah. Isak looks lost. Can’t see where the points will come from.

LFC dominated the play for most of the 90 mins. We should have scored 5/6 even with missing another 10 shots. LFC had 19 shots with 6 on target. Utd with 12 and 4 on target. You finished 2, we missed far too many, esp some easy chances. On another day it would have been 6-2. This is football, it can happen but we are a better team than Utd, the league table will show this at the end of the season.

A long way to go. I agree Arsenal have issues too and imo will prob bottle it to give City another title.

Banter aside - i think there is a long way to go. You can take PSG for example last season from how they started the season and how they finished. To much quality in Liverpools team to just back down after 8 games.

I think stay within 5 points and come Feb time the title race will really be on. Liverpool cant afford to do what Arsenal did last season and never put any pressure on the leaders.

Yes. But you should know, UTD and Liverpool games are Played on Emotions. Quality Gap can be erased. It's who plays well on the day. Our last three meetings at Anfield we are unbeaten. Even though Liverpool have a better side Lol

Too arrogant from Liverpool esp the forwards, we should have scored plenty. Yes Derbys , form goes out of the window and emotions come through.

The league is over for Liverpool this season. This is the biggest achievement for Utd, Liverpool wont be getting to 21 just yet lol.

Last week it was 21 in the bag. This week it's all over? Lol

Early days. You got to good a squad. Benching Salah is a must now, looks a yard to slow and lacks confidence.

lol I never said its in the bag but sure was hoping for it.

Too many new players unable to gel by coaching staff. Slot needs to revise his tactics, this is becoming annoying now.

Man city shouldn't be discounted either.

Anyways @KingKhanWC enjoy your bulking while eating humble pie while In Peshawar

Slot got lucky last season. Liverpool barely signed anyone last season and Slot managed to win the league, thanks to the team that Jurgen Klopp left behind.

This season, he has signed a lot of his own players and is trying to build his own team, but he is struggling and looking more and more like Ten Hag's evil bald twin brother.

Slot has a big decision to make, Ekitike should be starting but when you paid £130m for a striker then getting him to wait isn't an easy thing to do

More than one player is performing below par at the moment for Liv. Isak was nowhere again, Wirtz not impressing, don’t know why Salah, Konate and Van Dyjk are so lost.

In my opinion though biggest downgrade is the fullbacks. Liv depended a lot on TAA and Robertson in defence and in attack. These two have won matches on their own for the club. Compared to them, Kerkez and Bradley are one-dimensional and limited.

VVD and salah have be shockingly bad this season. Salah has become even lazier then before, VVD seems more interested in audition for Shakira videos. Also him constantly blaming others when he's not doing his Job sets a bad tone.

Liverpool have just tried to change to many tactical dynamics in team at same time, whilst new player are getting use to it, the players that have been at club have been so poor its no wonder Liverpool look like Anthony joshua. Lots of power but a glass jaw defence

At this moment, he’s not looking like a good team player. He literally knocked MacAllister out. Mbuemo got off the ground and still scored while VVD kept moving back and pointing to Konate lol that was hilarious.

One flukey win at Anfield in 9 years and mancs are celebrating as if they won the league
:lol

Arsenals to bottle it now.

Few weeks ago Liverpool were 5 points ahead of Arsenal, and now Arsenal are 5/6 points ahead of them. That doesn’t mean Liverpool bottled it, it simply means no one is running away with the league like Liverpool did last season. This narrative Arsenal to bottle when they are merely 3 points ahead is forced and baffling.

The real narrative should be how Liverpool broke records in terms of spending, started season so well and now suddenly look worse than last season. Liverpool spent money in the summer to not just win the league again but to be unstoppable for the next few seasons; this is a huge damage mentally, financially and morally.

Arsenal had a bigger net spend. Liverpool have a new team, half the playing XI is new this season. Far too many changes were made, Diaz should have stayed, and maybe a couple of others too.

I dont see this has huge damage, it was always known these players would take time to gel. As long as LFC are in the top 4 this season, there is a chance of Champions League glory, cup competitions are different. Next season this squad should be ready.

Arsenal must win the league this season. It’s simple as that. Liverpool I can forgive.

🤣🤣 world class excuses coming out

But but Liverpool have a better net spend.

Arsenal had a higher net spend this transfer window, get your reading glasses out old man.

Liverpool fans have enjoyed a lot of success since Arteta took over, while you're sat on the toilet for 5 years making memes
:wenger

Also it was rival fans telling us that Liverpool will be unstoppable etc etc. Most of us were cautious.

Its just an easy way for rival fans whose team have won nothing to help cope with another year of dusty empty trophy cabinets.

Arsenal fans would still carry on jumping up like jackasses even if they finish 2nd, this fan base has accepted this as success.

Go pick the towel you threw in and dry your tears.

There was no reason for Liverpool to sign skinny rat Isak when they had already signed Ekitike, who is better than Isak anyway.

Ive only got red towels with trophies on there. Wait for the cartoons with your brown towel with a personal trophy
The brown towel must be the one you had when you got scared and ran off like forrest gump

Lets wait until this weekend!

Liverpool may lose again but Im going to buy some crayons to make silly memes of you, while im on the toilet!
Brentford are taking 3 points off Liverpool Saturday. So we prepare for more memes over the weekend, you should retire from PP, as only going to get worse for you

Slot has lost the plot.

Another ETH in the making once he got his own players in.

Are you saying the likes of Isak, wirtz, Ekitke, kerkez are bad Players?
I certainly don't think so

On the other hand, Majority of Ten hags signings were awful .

You've got to give time for these signings to gel
There's quality there.

But the main problem is the defence since last yr there should have definite signings for cb and dm positions been caught short here .

I will do but it will have trophies on it, meanwhile your undies will have no trophies and brown in colour.

Utd and Arsenal fans jumping for joy because LFC lost a few matches while their clubs havent won a major trophy for decades.

Lets hope Amorim and Arteta win a major trophy this season, it will save many chuddies. :)
🤣 uve seen your club won a covid Title and one PL title in your entire life time, stop acting like uve seen Liverpool have loads of success.

Much better performance last night - Jones provided control in midfield and improved our buildup play. Was MOTM for me and should replace MacAllister in the starting XI.

Frankfurt's defending was abysmal, they were so open.

Brentford will be a far tougher test but that's a much needed confidence booster.

Ive seen Areta and you crying for the last 5/6 years.

With crayons draw 2 PL titles and draw 1 Champions league title. On your chuddies draw brown spots.

Have some self respect when Spurs have won more trophies in the last 5 years.

@KingKhanWC. Confidence returning?

Better stability?

Even though Brentford will be a very difficult game at the weekend

Wirtz 2 assists, 5 goals , domination and centre backs scoring will bring confidence.

With LFC win or lose, as a fan you will see a fun match. Some teams play like Stoke, have won nothing in years and their fans are jumping up like champions already. A long way to go but the league looks gone unless City have injuries or Arsenal bottle it again.

Brentford away is never easy. Its an 8pm kick off on a weekend also. As long as the team is clinical in front of goal, we should take all 3 points.

Do my eyes deceive me..... did did did the mighty Liverpool Galactico's score from Shettt peeeshesh. I thought it was forbidden to score from set pieces unless you are "Stoke"

Suddenly there are no holidays booked this week seen as Liverpool beat a team who have conceded the most goals in the Bundesliga.... interesting isnt it @Amjid Javed

Very Early days regarding the Title. Upcoming fixtures for City will be a true reflection of their credentials. Some very tricky fixtures, including playing you guys. Whilst Arsenal do look Strong, there's always the case of the Monkey on the back until they cross the line and win it. Reality is, it's only the beginning![/QUOTE]

Sure there is a long way to go but City are looking back to their dominant best. They have players out too who will return. If City is not injury hit, they are favourites for me. Arsenal lost to LFC and drew at home to City, once they try to compete in all 4 competitions, they will fall off imo, its an injury prone team now, with the pressure of not wining anything they may struggle. Liverpool once gelled will be very strong but Slot needs to hurry up. I would rather Ekitike plays on the left, as Gapko cannot run past players on the outside. Diaz should never have been sold.
