Liverpool FC 2025/26 Season

Back to back titles are rare. Only City have achieved this in recent years. I’m not expecting Liverpool to be at that level be fair is unrealistic . I’m expecting expecting them to be competing again next season.

No please tell us what Ars achieved after the Invincibles title. Done try to be clever pls.
In Liverpools case very rare. However teams after winning the title put up some sort of title defence.

And a title defence was expected with the money that was spent. Which is the reason why this is probably one of the worst title defences of all time.

I asked you were aware of anything like this before. The answer is NO. No team has ever fallen off like this after a title win.

Come over to the Arsenal thread if you wish to talk about Arsenal...

Well done, manchild... Arsenal fan TV ovr the years has been a figment of the imagination... lol.

Pluck a random fan and use that... excellent sampling manchild, can see numbers was not a strong point, too busy doodling, appropriating the john smith culture and trying so hard to make virtual friends for a legacy, you succeeded on the last bit, bunch of groupies who show misplaced deference

Who you referring to fella with the last sentence?
He's rattled as usual, only took me and you to question Liverpools blip and he's turned into Eubank wannabe troll as usual.

Like uve pointed out, most these Liverpool fans act like cry babies when called out.

I don't like the indirect digs he has. We haven't interacted for a short while but he seems to take shots at our fanbase trying to be sly.

He doesn't all the time, then acts civilised for a short while then starts again.

He's also an expert in everyone's lives, their age, intellect, jobs, health etc..

He calls out people for a so called lack of intelligence, but then he can't string sentences of proper English together.

Finished 1 nil to Liverpool. Beaten Sunderland away. First team to beat Sunderland at home this season in the PL.

Good away win against a decent home team.

I enjoyed watching Wirtz, he had a v good game, movement is brilliant to watch

Endo's injury looked bad, do not know how he carried on playing for a minute or so afterwards- madness!

If that is what you wish to believe- you are trying very hard.

If anything, based on the klopp vs pep years and the City fans etc. As liverpool fans, do not want City to win it!!

However, Arsenal fans are giving them a good run for their money but 3/4 of 1 season of idiocy vs several years and potshots from perennial, serial winners vs perennial, serial underachievers (shan't use the B word....) is not the same.

So, anyone but City!! And Anyone but anyone from Manchester...

Bro you do realise this was only aimed at one particular Liverpool supporter? The one who’s been getting bantered all season.

I’m certain he was cheering for a City win. I’m 110% sure of that.

Man City - poor first half, better second half but lost the plot once again towards the end.

Sunderland - didn't get to watch but ending their unbeaten run at home was a massive result. Shame Endo's injured leaving our options even thinner.

Brighton - tonight was probably the best 90 of the season. Some lovely football with three good goals. Salah playing more like himself, Kerkez was outstanding and my MOTM, kept a clean sheet and some of the kids got mins.

Hope we get a nice draw at home in the next round.

You rightly mentioned that the Arsenal thread shouldn't get derailed

I did say arguably the worst title defence but it's hard to think of one that is worse, all things considered

Leicester dropped off after winning but them winning in the first place was a miracle

You had Chelsea drop off after winning in Mourinho's 2nd stint but they didn't really have an active summer combined with Mourinho going nuclear and losing the plot

Ye Liverpool fans seem to object their insecurities on other teams.

This has been a bit of a disaster PL season for them which will probably be salvaged by a top 4 finish.

The idea with this sort of spend was domination for years to come.

Leicester doesn't really count cos well it's Leicester and I think Kante left the following season?

😂😂 I'll say it again. Considering the context probably the worst title defence of all time.

Van Dyk just said the league is tough hmmmm 🤔

Interesting for all the "it's a rubbish league this year" army

The league leaders didn't exactly set themselves apart against Wolverton.
Is that the standard? ok to lose against the bottom team just because the team who is top only got a draw.

Ignoring the fact Liverpool are the reigning champions + spent the most ever in a transfer window.

Seems like copium to me.

Who are Wolverton?

FTR, I'm an Arsenal fan and as much as i love to make fun of LFC and LFC fans like @KingKhanWC, wolverton seems to get for the game as against top sides .

Galatasaray fans banned from Liverpool second leg

Galatasaray fans have been banned from the club's Champions League visit to Liverpool later this month following crowd disturbances during their game with Juventus in the previous round.

European governing body Uefa said supporters of the Turkish club had thrown objects and lit fireworks during the last-16 play-off tie second leg in Turin on 25 February.

Despite losing 3-2 on the night, they progressed 7-5 on aggregate and will host the Merseysiders in Istanbul next Tuesday (17:45 GMT) with the return leg to be staged at Anfield on 18 March (20:00).

However, Uefa has banned the Super Lig leaders from selling tickets to supporters for the away trip and also fined them 40,000 euros (£34,800).

In a statement, Galatasaray said they would appeal against the punishment.

Liverpool fans were hoping they'd be banned from watching their own team to

What a pathetic pathetic title defence.

I repeat once again...considering the context the worse title defence EVER!!

You are closer points wise to West Ham in 18th than you are to top spot.

I'll say it again for the ones at the back..

YOU ARE CLOSER POINTS WISE TO WEST HAM THAN YOU ARE TOP SPOT.

But it's ok SOME Liverpool fans would rather Arsenal don't win the league so they can keep their heads stuck in the sand.

Ok ok go and enjoy your title win fgs. Why is Liv in your head rent free…?

This is the Liverpool thread and they've just played.

Same reason you lot would come to the Arsenal thread.

What's the matter can't take the heat back?

Once you realise how some Liverpool fans were behaving on the Arsenal thread you'll realise a post here and there from us is nothing compared.

If you want I can ramp it up a bit and really turn on ruthless mode?

oooh shiver me timbers :yk2

I so want this season to be over. Gave up long ago. Slot needs to go man, no ifs and buts.

@KingKhanWC This definitely has to be the worse title defense in Premier league era.

You must surely come out of hibernation to face the music 😆

There are far more intelligent forums do discuss football . I’d copy and post paste for you but ultimately Slot is clueless. Slot to be fired isn’t a bad thing. Alonso is waiting .

Liverpool can still win two trophies unless Utd stop them !
:klopp

Liverpool were suppose to fly away with the PL title this season. Last season, they were great and in the summer added 2 world class players for record fees and a player with freak potential. But it’s been totally the opposite for them season.

Have give credit to Pep. Sometimes it’s not just money that wins you titles, it’s world class coaching as well that plays a vital role.

IMO sack Slot and bring in Iraola.

🤣🤣 judging by your clueless sports knowledge and inparticular football, not sure what value you would add on so called more intelligent forums

We may not stop you from winning Trophies this season. But we do have a Premier League game between UTD and Liverpool upon us soon. A UTD win could seriously harm your chances for qualifying for Champions league football. 😆

But Pep has also spent in excess of 500 million since beginning of last Season and won Nothing.

Tbh bro , I don’t give a monkeys atm . The world is on fire , there may not be a champions league next season. It’s a great time to make money . But to answer your point, no point being in champions league with Slot . If we are knocked out on Wednesday, slot should be fired in the morning.

Given that’s an exception, outside of that, how many trophies has Pep won with his last 3 clubs?

My point is Liverpool spending 400 million and not performing to the standards of last season is not the issue. They also lost Quality players.

For me Liverpool’s biggest issue this season is players who were stellar under Slot last season have significantly dropped off.

Salah - definitely legs gone.

VVD - the same

Gravenberch - no where near as good as last season.

Macallister - No way as good as last season

Konate - No way as good as last season.

And then when you add all the above with new players, its definitely a recipe for disaster.

Yes. The world is on a knife edge at the moment. When we have idiots like Trump, $#!tanyahu, 🤡 from Ukraine then its worrying.

Sport is a remedy to atleast change the attention.

🤣🤣 you were doing bhabgra at start of season saying number 21 was on its way. Now all of sudden you don't give a monkeys. More like uve been made to look like a monkey.

Typical Asian Liverpool fan response pretending not to care all of sudden when your team has been humbled 🤣🐵🐒

I must have done things wrong if fans not happy - Slot

Head coach Arne Slot says he "must have done a lot of things wrong" for Liverpool fans to be "frustrated" at their recent form.

Liverpool were booed off on Sunday after conceding a 90th-minute equaliser to Tottenham in a 1-1 draw.

Despite winning the Premier League less than 12 months ago, the Reds' style of play and a string of disappointing results have led to discontent among the fanbase.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher said it will be "really difficult" for Slot to win back the support of fans.

Liverpool are fifth in the league and face Turkish champions Galatasaray in the Champions League at Anfield on Wednesday (20:00 GMT), trailing 1-0 after the first-leg of their last-16 tie.

"It's never nice they are frustrated because usually fans are not frustrated after you win," the Dutchman said.

"So first of all, you're frustrated yourself and disappointed about the fact that we haven't won," said Slot.

"People have told me when I came here that this club is different than other clubs, they will support the manager for such, such, such a long time.

"But if you are supposing something, then I must have done a lot of things wrong and that's never a nice feeling to have, because being in the club that's always so supportive for the manager, in good and bad times, then if they are not happy with me, then apparently I've done so many things wrong, and that's never a nice feeling to have."

He added: "But I also know how the football industry works. Winning can change a lot. That's what we are trying to achieve tomorrow night. And we're completely ready for that, I can tell you that."

Carragher claimed that Liverpool are a team of individuals but Slot disagreed.

"I agree with a lot of things Jamie has said throughout this whole season. This particular one, I disagree with him," said Slot, insisting that his players have never given up.

"A team that has given up, a team of individuals or a team that does not work together, does not show resilience after our 120th setback this season. That is a bit of an exaggeration but we have had many."

And Slot called on his players to embrace the pressure as Liverpool look to reach their first Champions League quarter-final since 2022.

The Dutchman admitted that it would be a special moment for him too as he is yet to manage at that stage of the competition.

"It's the most important (game). Because it is the next one. That is a bit too simple. It is always the next one that is the most important one, " said Slot. "After Galatasaray, another big one is coming up against Brighton with two days rest again. We feel the importance of this game. We are able to reach the quarter final of the Champions League. That would be special for me as it would be my first. It would be special for all of us - we can never take a Champions League quarter-final for granted."

Of course , the highlight of Manchester United season . Maybe but in your lifetime you will never see a 7-0 at home v Liverpool.

Liverpool pursuit of a Treble takes a hit.

But it's still on. Keep the faith. Boys it's not over until it's over.

Support and back your team!! Treble is still on!!

Saw a headline that summed it up well- "if they play like that in Paris, they will lose 10-0".

The more Liverpool play like this, makes me question the aptitude of Slot- in gane adjustments are terrible and chaotic. I can appreciate wanting to impose your style but he has removed (by choice) what worked well.

Champions league or bust.... looks like bust!!

Looks like neither Liverpool or Chelsea want 5th spot, both trying to out do each other with incompetent performances.

@Technics 1210 Brentford should br kicking themselves as well for not closing gap yesterday
