I don't usually watch this dross so excuse my lack of knowledge but I had a look at the scorecard and saw the most peculiar thing ever- 'Sachin Baby'....Is that his legit name :)))?

Malayalam people have those kinds of names.

I know a Mallu guy with the name Jesus Baby.
 
Dhawan throws it away. He could have scored a 100 against this Pathetic RCB attack.
 
that's what you get when you cheap out on bowlers. not only are they a liability with the bowl, they are a liability in the field.

RCB spends all their money on batsmen and chooses terrible bowlers.

Tymal Mills is one overpaid bowler.
 
Ideal situation for Rashid Khan to debut.

A huge target to defend and not many superstar batsmen in RCB.
 
Yuvraj has sealed his Champions trophy spot by this 27 Ball 62 runs innings.
 
If srh looses this that's a shame. With Nehra, Kumar and Rashid this should be an easily defendable total
 
RCB shoud win this easily.

Kedar Jadav is another batting gem in short formats for India. Head also looks like a better option then Gayle.

If selectors ignore IPL scores then Yuvraj will make the Champions Trophy squad based on the massive beat down he gave to English bowlers in the India's last ODI series. So, any way Yuvi is a sure shot Champions trophy squad member.
 
Wasn't able to watch it , but Kumar did quite well. I think yuvi and dhawan both are trying to make a statement for themselves. Let's see who can make it in CT. Id be catching the highlight later today

Kedar Jadhav is better than Yuvi in the Middle Order.

Rahul is better than Dhawan at the top.

Who will be dropped if they have to accomodate Shikhar and Yuvi then? Rohit will be back for CT.

I think only Rahane is the weak link. May be Yuvi can play in his place.

Meh I think I'll still take Yuvi over Kedhar. Kedhar is talented but again with not much experience , especially not in English conditions - It's a big gamble.

I'd take Rahul over Dhawan for sure atleast on the basis of the current series. For me it's a toss up between Kedhar and Rahane but considering the English seam wickets - I don't think scoring at a decent RR would be an issue - with Kohli , MSD , Rahul and Yuvi in scquad , Rahane may be better to plan an anchor role

Won't be following IPL this year. Very busy with 3rd year of engineering. Miss school days when I could watch cricket matches guilty free

Pune all over MI , with Dhoni , Smith , Rahane some really good cricketing brains in that team. Hard to beat em

Another suggestion would be how many dropped catches each bowlers must endure would be a good comparison as well.

I am pretty sure they are all trundlers besides Dinda.

Fair point about these guys, but rather poor form on your part to fail to mention Kumar & Bhatia in order to try & prove a point:

B Kumar 2/27 4 overs
R Bhatia 2/14 3 overs
 
Bumrah and Bhuvi are both pretty good. Rest are either mediocre or poor.
 
Southie drops the match. Dhoni should announce his retirement from Odis and T20s this year. Can play IPl for couple more years.
 
God please tell me why Pollard is bowling the last oveR? You want a main bowler bowling the final over and not a side bowler.
 
Bumrah and Malinga's death over combo will be deadly. Steve Smith is finishing off while Dhoni was struggling a bit. Weird to see.
 
most indian pacers giving bowling a bad name. that said, you only need 5-6 good ones to do the job at the International level, which they have.

obviously whats not helped them in this ipl so far has been the flat tracks, fast outfields/small boundaries, and no swing on offer.

They did not have one. Their line-up had a big weakness that they had exactly 5 bowlers including Krunal and Hardik Pandya. Once Krunal got hit, they failed to get his extra overs out, and by the time Smith and Stokes were batting they had no option but to leave it till the last over and hope that pressure of a big target would make even a weak bowler like Polly dangerous. It almost worked 10 off 3 is hugely in favour of bowling side, even with one of the best batsmen in the world facing a mediocre bowler.
