Well then Dharna should continue..!! ECP knows they have messed up and so far all which have been recounted have been over turned.....
LHC also rejected it.
Nope EC approved the recount in NA 57 but PMLN candidate took stay order and LH reversed the decision to recount.
NA 122 EC rejected recount.
PTI should give up, even if EC agrees to recount, courts overrule it and if they don't say anything supreme court may come into play. No hope here for PTI, just pretend nothing happened.
ISLAMABAD: After failing to form a government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl's (JUI-F) avenues for entering a coalition government in the centre and Balochistan assembly, opened up after a formal invitation from Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday, DawnNews reported.
Shahbaz held a meeting with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman during which the issues related to formation of a government were discussed whereas the PML-N also extended a formal invitation to the JUI-F to form a coalition government in the National Assembly and Balochistan's provincial assembly.
Speaking to media persons after the meeting, Shahbaz said that the challenges faced by the country needed to be addressed jointly.
He further said that the PML-F was their ally in Sindh whereas party chief Nawaz Sharif wanted to take all political parties on-board to tackle the issues of terrorism, corruption and the energy crises in Pakistan.
JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl said that a meeting of the party's central Majlis-e-Amla was called for today during which the decision to join a coalition government would be taken after consultation.
ISLAMABAD, May 12: The winner of historic elections, Nawaz Sharif, faces a host of problems, including faltering economic growth, worsening energy shortages and continued attacks by militants.
FALTERING ECONOMY: The economy has grown at less than 4 per cent a year under the most recent government led by the PPP.
That is much lower than the rates during the previous administration, which at times hovered near 7pc. Under the most recent government, inflation spiked, reaching an annualised rate of around 25pc in some months.
However, the inflation rate has fallen and averaged around 11pc last year.
ENERGY SHORTAGES: Electricity shortages nearly doubled under the PPP compared with the previous administration.
Some places in the country suffer blackouts for up to 18 hours a day during summer months.
The country also has experienced increased shortages of natural gas, which were felt acutely during the winter because many people rely on natural gas to heat their homes as well as cook.
Spending on energy subsidies and failing public enterprises has helped sap the government’s funds, which are much lower than they should be because of ineffective tax collection.
The combination of these factors means the government will likely have to seek yet another unpopular bailout from the International Monetary Fund.
TALIBAN ATTACKS: The military has launched several operations against the Pakistani Taliban in the northwest tribal region along the Afghan border during the past five years.
Analysts say the operations and US drone attacks against militants in the tribal region have helped produce a significant decline in overall levels of violence in 2011 and 2012.
But the Taliban have remained a potent threat, including during the election campaign.
The group carried out near-daily attacks against election candidates and offices that killed more than 130 people.
The militants mostly targeted liberal secular parties that supported operations against the Taliban. Sectarian violence by radical militants against minority Shias also has significantly worsened in recent months.
“(Sharif) needs to solve the issue of terrorism and other problems crippling the economy. If he delivers quickly, fair enough, if not then he will face crisis and criticism,” pundit Hasan Askari said.
The election failed to realise the hopes of many that the hold of patronage-based parties would end after years of misrule and corruption.
Mr Sharif has said the army, which has ruled the country for more than half of its turbulent 66-year history, should stay out of politics.
But he will have to work with generals, who set foreign and security policy and will manage the country’s thorny relationship with the United States as Nato troops withdraw from Afghanistan in 2014.
Mr Sharif also believes Pakistan should reconsider its support for the US war on militancy.
Mr Sharif, who advocates free-market economics, is likely to pursue privatisation and deregulation to revive flagging growth.
The PML-N leader has said he could do business with the IMF, meaning he may be open to reforms like an easing of subsidies and a widening of the country’s tiny tax base to secure billions of dollars from the global lender.
RELATIONS WITH ARMY: Mr Sharif’s last term as prime minister came to an abrupt and ignominious end in 1999 when he was deposed in a coup led by Gen Pervez Musharraf.
He was sentenced to life in prison by a military court before being allowed to go into exile in Saudi Arabia.
Political analyst A.H. Nayer said talk of a potential clash between Mr Sharif and the military was overblown. “I think the army will have to back the government, they have no choice,” he said.
“I think Sharif’s government will come out with an impression that it is not against the army as an organisation — he was against only one general who staged a coup.”
The 63-year-old’s unprecedented third term as prime minister results from widespread unhappiness with the PPP government, but also from the performance of the PML-N in Punjab.
During two tenures in the 1990s the PML-N built the country’s only motorway. During its rule of Punjab over the past five years it created new roads and bridges for Lahore and a city metro-bus system — the first properurban public transport system in the country. It has also targeted young voters with scholarships and free laptops.
Mr Sharif went into the election promising to transform the economy, end corruption in state-owned enterprises, build a motorway from Lahore to Karachi and launch a bullet train. — Agencies

MQM boycotts repolling in NA 250
They are very good people and politicians. I know them personally and Awais Leghari did a lot of work for the IT industry.
They were independents. Had to join the ruling party
they joined PTI last year but left pti so they could play their cards like they have done now.
I even know Kashif abbasi congratulated Leghari in a interview for joining PTI and he said thank you and he thought Imran Khan was the perfect leader.
I am not saying that they haven't done anything I am just suggesting that they became independents when the elections approached

ISLAMABAD: The JUI-F has announced its decision to join the federal government.
The decision was taken during the meeting of the party’s central working committee chaired by Maulana Fazlur Rehman. The PML-N had offered the JUI-F to join the federal government during an earlier meeting between Shahbaz Sharif and Rehman.
The central working committee during its meeting evaluated the offer of the PML-N. The meeting was also attended by Akram Durrani, Maulana Ghafoor Haideri , Gul Naseeb, Senator Talha Mehmood and other leaders of the JUI-F.
Confirmed - JUI-F have joined the government at the centre.

QUETTA: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), National Party and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) have decided to form a coalition government in the province.
Akram Shah Khan, the Central Secretary General, PkMAP while addressing a joint press conference said that the slot of chief minister would be given to the PML-N.
“It has been decided in principle to form an exemplary coalition government,” Khan said.
He said all out efforts would be made by coalition partners to address the grievances of the Baloch masses.
Responding to a question, the newly nominated parliamentary leader of PML-N, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri said that he would make all possible efforts to take all political forces on board for durable peace in the violence-stricken province.
“Peace is my first priority,” Zehri said.
Chief of National Party, Dr Malik Baloch said that new coalition partners are determined to ensure good governance in the province.
“Despite the odds, we will deliver,” Baloch added.
“We believe in dialogue not use of force,” he responded to a question regarding initiating possible talks with Baloch resistance fighters in Balochistan.
Baloch said that they want peace and for this purpose meaningful dialogue would be started with all political forces.
IN a densely populated country where citizens are counted in tens of millions, the figures coming out of the polls in Balochistan are bizarre. The most remarkable is PB-41, Awaran, where voter turnout was a mere 1.18 per cent and the candidate that won had to take just 544 votes, with the runner-up coming in at 95. Only 672 of the 57,666 people registered to vote in the constituency actually did so. Similarly, in PB-50, Kech, the seat was won with just 1,385 votes, with 1,331 going to the politician who came in second. The other seven candidates collectively polled the ludicrous figure of 994 votes. Even where the figures are higher, the turnout in Balochistan is remarkably below the national average. This is true even if the demographics and the security situation are factored in. The turnout in PB-46, Kharan, for example, was relatively high but still, of the 45,176 registered voters, only 14,611 cast votes and the seat was won with just 3,418 votes.
It had been expected that the turnout in Balochistan would be low but these figures are shocking. Polling was disrupted or could not take place at all at a number of polling stations because of lack of staff and/or balloting material.
Also, militants had announced that they would impede the election process; the moderate nationalist parties that contested did so in face of the militants’ ire. What the ECP must do now is to investigate the numbers and ascertain how many polling stations were dysfunctional, and why. If more than 50 per cent of the polling stations are found to have been off-line, perhaps a re-poll should be considered with security beefed up more than previously, since that is far from a level playing field.
Was watching Talat's show and Khawaja Asif said "ye Tsunami tu Muslim shower bhi nahi nikla")
heard that before from MQM leader babar ghauri on capital talk)
Funny coming from a MQM who only win in Karachi and that to with blatant rigging and militants support. Terrorist party should concentrate more on karachi.
Isn't that Irfan Siddiqui? lol and people think these people are unbiased, neat and clean journalists. Let's see if we can find Ata ul Haq Qasmi and Mushtaq Minhas there as well.
Looks like the killing of Zahra Shahid has done its job, really low turnout for the NA-250 re-polling.
The army has to provide protection for karachi elections. Now it is just one constituency. The army can deploy enough troops to make sure there is no violence. If they cant, then they should be ashamed of themselves.
I have been saying this for a while now. There is no other way to deal with this BS other than protests, and Imran must lead them. I can be anything, that InshaAllah if Imran can mobilize these fed up people who are already protesting, to jointly protest, he will be unstoppable.
^ MQM has a huge lead already from the previous polling. The repolling is on 43 polling stations only. And PTI voters are nos scared of coming out to vote.
So even if PTI wins the repolling, they wont be able to win the seat
Channels reported that Dr. Arif Alvi was trailing only by 400 votes to MQM in the other polling stations collectively ....
According to Faizan Lakhani's tweet yesterday, yes.You mean PTI trailing by 400 in all poling stations combined in the entire NA250 constituency?
According to Faizan Lakhani's tweet yesterday, yes.
