Official Pakistan 2013 General Elections thread

ok... so this is what happened... there were 6-7 of them on the lifter all together... the guys on the right side of IK were closer to the stage and quickly hop'd off the lifter, which all of a sudden created imbalance as 4 of them were to the extreme left... and the lifter gave way, and as they crashed down IK hit his head on the grill of the lifter and the crash on the hard floor below... its very evident in this video...

^^^ you can clearly see that 3 of them just hopped off to the stage (it seems like they are sitting there from before, but play and replay a couple times at the beg part, and you will see it... IK was having a nice chit chat with the guard who in other video seemed to have purposely pulled him down, but wasnt the case...

The doctor who treated him says the head wound was skin deep 6 inches long. No need for blood transfusion. He also complained of pain in the back.
 
Yeh banda paagal hai kasam sey.... has to be... alhamdulillah he is stable :)

had they given him first aid from the get go, it wouldnt have gotten this bad...

^^^ Imran said that, and i believe with that he meant tomorrow's and onwards, today's his own jalsa's are cancelled... but the party candidates jalsa's he wants to continue on...

Arrey yaar - poori zindagi unhon ne isee tarah kya hai. Why stop now? This is the same man who destroyed the West Indies in the West Indies with a septic/bleeding toe taking injections plucking 7 wickets. The greater the cause, the higher he will lift. Awaam needs to realize this as he'll not only lift himself but will lift the nation - such is the man!

awain-hi toh janab ko apna leader maantay, yehi waja toh hai humain unh sey itna pyar hai, aur unh ke dua goh hain... agar IK ko tibei imdaad mil jaati toh i am sure he would have went on to the stage and given a speech... that's the stature of the man...


negative is the incident and his security and the management of the stage area

positive is the reaction of opposition leaders offering their sympathy, and not making any ill political remarks as of yet...

Insh'Allah he will be fine. This has just made the last few days tougher and the tiger hunter relishes when things get tougher. Now he gets to turn it up a notch. Allah bachaiy - in normal mode bara sakht hai Khan, when he turns it up a notch phir kya ho ga?

yeh raha app ka turn up one notch... i thgt he meant to at the least cancel today's his personal jalsa's, but

Reports from people in the ambulance with Khan Saab he was in his complete senses and talking to them and also saying je will continue his campaign. Dr from SKMH performing MRI, Blood loss was solely due to not having ambulance on scene to give first aid and he bled out on the way to hospital.

Also news that the requirement for blood has been fullfiled, this is no surprise to me, log to ek doosray ke upar chard ke agay bade gay Khan saab ko khoon dene key liye. If I was there I know I would do the same. What an honour it would have been !

^ What a man!! I have a feeling when he leads the campaigns with bandages and bruises, he will earn even more respect. Just like he partied in the rain in Lahore on 23rd march, he will use the injury to his advantage.

I was thinking the same. Had I been there, I would have given blood to him. Would have been a honor to help him.
 
IK's DR saying, tht IK is saying Thank you for the support and dua's and make dua for others that fell with him as well...
 
dr also said that they will try to have IK give a video or audio msg to the public to ensure his stability once his examinations (CT scan) are done...

CT scan completed and alhamdulillah no internal injuries aur mukamal hosh mein hain... :D

Dunya news male news caster was very emotional just listening to him for last hour and he is very emotional while commenting on this news like "Itne azeeem leader ke lye yeh kis kism ke intezaam kiye gaye "
 
Inzi went to visit IK, Afridi is still with IK... both are still there...


Hospital workers are asking not to allow any party or external visitors so IK can rest...
 
I am sorry guys for no updates...seems to have lost power to write and feeling totally shattered.
 
Allhamdulliah he is fine. Allah ka lakh lakh shukar. Please everyone keep praying for his speedy recovery. Politician or not, he as a mere human being is an irreplaceable asset to Pakistan.

Umar Asad keep mentioning Imran being in pain, should they give some light painkillers by now? Its not good imagine him in pain :(

police, lack of security provided and lack of their enthusiasm for his protection are coming to surface...

another thing ppl rushed to the lifter and the lift operator rushed to lift the lifter and the three guys as per my observation jumped off quickly and causing IK and two others to tip over...

They are likely afraid - if it was on purpose or not, our awaam tends to take matters into their own hands which is not right.

I am pretty sure this isn't true. Those 3 guys fell too with him. They can't just getup and hop away after falling from 10-12 feet.

they got treatments, but i am not buying into this, just posting what i am hearing.. could very well be false...
 
duniya news is reporting that there could be a push given to IK... somebody in a black shirt from the back side, backed into IK, and also the guy climbing up the lift simultaneously looks at the guy in the black shirt noticing the push...

watch this video clearly the first 4-5 seconds, the guy in the first 5-6 seconds looks to have pushed off (backing into) IK intentionally or unintentionally...

Reminds of McCain suspending his campaign...

IK should do just the opposite and continue campaigning despite the injuries, even though he should rest, but this might just put him on the top...

Fake account maybe. Its clear the lift was imbalanced due to too many people.

on thing that bothered me throughout the last two hours was that i never saw the lifter shake... it was moving smooth, there is no wobbling of ik or the guys next to him, when that guy in black shirt bumps/rears into him, they tumble in one go...

watch the guy on the right side in black shirt... he has clearly pushed IK, dont know if intentionally or unintentionally...
 
An accident and thank GOd he is OK.

But what was going on there, trying to fit in 6 people into a place where there should be two more than 2.

He is very lucky not to sutain serious injuries
 
exactly, the lifter was all the way up and had stopped, no wobbling no nothing from lifter... IK only had to step off... but the guy backed into him...
