I can't believe the commentators. The law says that the bails have to be totally off to rule a batsman out, and when the bail was off, Salman was in. Rameez should stand up talk the batsmans case.
u r right :19:

I bet if it was an English batsman, the commentators would have talked the batsmans case. Rameez is really sucking up the other commentators.

what bs. Butt was runout. Look at them strolling around. Butt deserved to back in pavillion.
However this hardly makes up for Younis' out in first dig and Tresco's not out on 68.

ramiz is saying its a genuine mistake by the umpire...i dont see how the bails were off, you have to give benefit of the doubt...english media will have a field day, asad rauf is the 3rd umpire...i never heard them saying "that was clearly out" when kaneria had trecothick plumb lbw on 45 boo hoo hoo

but this is very casual running by both Inzi and Salman. seems they are digesting their food. Paul Allott is whinging :)) he is now saying i dont know how much experience Asad Rauf has and he made a glaring mistake. nyway Salman and Inzi shd be careful with their casual running. still a long way to go for pakistan

Biased commentary team.

Its a good job Bob Willis wasnt commentating with Allot when that happened.

from cricinfo
replay showed that Salman is just in after lot of replays, Green
light comes on

1. Wicket put down
(a) The wicket is put down if a bail is completely removed from the top of the stumps, or a stump is struck out of the ground by
(i) the ball.
(ii) the striker's bat, whether he is holding it or has let go of it.
(iii) the striker's person or by any part of his clothing or equipment becoming detached from his person.
(iv) a fielder, with his hand or arm, providing that the ball is held in the hand or hands so used, or in the hand of the arm so used.
The wicket is also put down if a fielder pulls a stump out of the ground in the same manner.

the bails were not completely dislodged in first frame but they were when butts bat was inside the line

Havent seen it so cant say anything. Could someone get a pic up. Anyway, Salman needs to make the most of his chances like Tresco did

Remember in the super series, when Holding was commentating and telling what the law said: Atleast one bail has to of the stumps, not moved or shaken but totally off to give a batsman out. And Butt was in by the time the bail was totally off.

Actually if you think about England field placing in the first session, they arent really attacking.. just waiting for things to happen.. like when Giles is bowling, they needed to set an umbrella field and even they didnt give Udal too many overs.. I wonder what they are thinking.. strictly from an english perspective
And whats the deal with pakistanis running around with england flags? Do they need the work visa that baad?

bhai it wasn't out, period!! just cause we have stupid commentators, doesn't mean we think the umpire is wrong.

Lets face it guys we were lucky Bowden gave three wrong deciosion and Asad gave one lets be intellectualy fair

10 runs coming off the last over, peiterson cuts his palm whilst fielding.

we now lead by 110.

This run out decision was nothing compared to the Trescothick lbw. That was plumb and even my 1 year old nephew would have given that out. That decision cost us nearly 150 runs.

Inzamam in "the zone" now. That's the hallmark of great batsmen. They reach this almost trance-like state, when what is bowled to them is as immaterial as is the condition of the pitch.

"In the zone" is just one step away from "going beserk".

his "zone" was just interrupted by a miscew and lob that was lucky to land safe. Inzi needs to carry on.

Yes, I was about to say.

Pakinson's Law? Or is it Murphy's?

Running between the wickets has been extremely shaky and both batmsmen have been reckless in their calls.

Also, Ashley Giles is making a lot of garbage LBW appeals. All have been pitched well outside leg stump.

English bowlers discuss taking the new ball and they will do it. Hoggard coming on.

If that was anybody other than Inzi I'd have to say they need to be dropped

**** that was a poor shot by Inzy But we have got some batters we will get quite a bit more but Butt Is becoming more and more important though

dammnn... this new ball is going to cause us a lot of trouble.. inzi gorn...
next man now needs to try and face away the new ball..

New ball pays off, Inzi totally misjudges the ball and sticks out his leg for a plumb LBW.

Quick Note: Could there have been a worse time for drinks break to roll around? The momentum was shifting the runs begin to flow as MoYo injected some life into the crowd. Hopefully both batsmen can survive that awkward post drinks period and keep this going.

lead is at 135.

Waqar Younis expertly pointed out that the seem position showed the ball should have swung out but it did not and Inzi read it the way it SHOULD have swung and was caught when is didn't.

Hoggard bowling brilliantly, the swing has both batsmen on the ropes.

Salman Butt's had it, I think. He's going to be out any moment.

Yohanna clueless against the swinging ball.

Yes, I think the time has come.

man what was moyo doing...he was chasing every ball, way too aggressive...i think his shoulder is messed up?

I Say Out Of Form...and Drop His Donkey @ss.

For God Sake, Cant Even Make A 50 On A Flat Pitch.

What a stupid bit of cricket from Yousuf, he looked too confident right from the beginning. Pressure on Raza now, let's hope he can form a decent partnership with Butt now

Man was Yosif playing one day cricket? any way Butt now MUST stay there Raza and Akmal have to chip in 250 lead still on the cards

can someone quickly tell me how many more overs to tea ? Thanks

Butt's going to fall anytime now.

The only hope Pakistan have now is a rapid cameo from Kamran Akmal that'll get Pakistan around 220-225 runs.

Kick Yousef out. He never rescues Pakistan. He's been in the team for far too long just cuz of hi s past record. Cant handle pressure and takes his inclusion in the team for granted.
