Pakistan is set to take on a confident Ireland team in the second T20I of the three-match series at Castle Avenue Cricket Ground in Dublin, Ireland today on Sunday, May 12. Pakistan aims to recover from its initial setback and level the series.

In the series’ opening match, Ireland, under the leadership of Paul Stirling, pulled off a surprise victory against Babar Azam’s Pakistan. They successfully chased a target of 183 in the last over at the same ground on Friday, May 10.

That is exactly why I am disappointed. Guys in Pakistan are hyped and praised for their skills but they never work that hard to repay the trust of fans they had in them. Azam does have potential but his fitness habits and careless attitude will take him no further than being a league bully.

Azam Khan and Hardik Pandya have same syndrome. Think too high of themselves and consider any criticism as hate and jealousy. Pandya has atleast performed at times in international cricket but why Azam is so arrogant, I don't understand.

Imad did nothing wrong to be dropped. He dived over the ball once which was quite ridiculous but as a bowler, he pulled his weight. Needs to improve in the powerplay because that’s what Pakistan bank on him to do.

The guy’s who genuinely deserve to be dropped is Naseem, Azam Khan and Shadab. I can give Rizwan (and even Shadab) leeways for not having a fair run due to run outs.

But Naseem bowled ATROCIOUSLY in the powerplay. 2 overs of pure filth. Any top side would make him pay for those 2 overs with 30+ runs the way he bowled, he got away with 20 only.

Shadab’s leg spin is horrendous. It’s not international standard at the moment.

Even though I want Azam in the middle for what he offers, there is no excuse for just spooning an easy catch like he did to deep square leg in the situation he was in. He knows he needs a little bit of time right now at the crease and he has 5 men out on the boundary to give him 2-3 balls to just tap and rotate before he goes big. I was shocked at how he can’t do the simple thing for himself at the moment!

Either Pakistan has dropped to the level of Ireland, or Ireland has undergone a significant improvement since the last time I saw them play. To be fair, they displayed a high level of understanding throughout the game. I hope it's the latter scenario; otherwise, we might find ourselves struggling against Canada and the USA.
