Ball is turning all over the place. 200 is going to be really tough as I said yesterday.

:hundred for Hafeez. His best international knock yet. Great innings.

Now he needs to kick on and get a 150.

MoHa's best ever knock. If he gets a 150, PAK wins.

I think recently, I had lots of post regarding "Batsman winning Test match" - considering the surface, this could be one of those knocks that probably is more valuable than a 10 fer, if he gets a 150.

Misbah playing across a little. Looks like squared up but then middles it. I hate watching misbah bat

I think, PAK has used the heavy roller this morning. Whatever moisture was there has come on top of surface, therefore ball is "zipping" a bit. This 'll be extremely helpful, if PAK can put 200+ target as the top surface 'll break on day 5, but it makes 1st hour tricky.

Why MoHa is shaking?

If that is the case, wouldnt the moisture dry out in this heat after few hours?

The way this pitch is behaving, even a target of 200 is enough for England. Mark my words ;)

That's exactly the idea. Not even few, within an hour in UAE. After that, the top surface starts to crumble, which becomes uneven & double paced. PAK can take advantage if the can go to lunch for say something like 233/5. After that, ENG 'll have to go defensive.

I have been saying this since yesterday. Add to that the outfeild is really slow. That adds another 30 runs.

Drift and Spin again from Rashid.

Hafeez looks a million dollars when he is striking the ball well and is in touch but boy can he look like a tailender at times.

Great innings though! He has done really well in the past year

Misbah looks much more organized vs. pace compared to Younis. The way he was dancing last evening was just embarrassing.

Misbah's innings 'll determine who wins the MoS - another 71 & he is certain to win it (his 71 means ENG .ll chase 230+)

Anderson has owned plenty of people in this series, complete bowler.

Wish we had someone like him.

This really can be last time misbah is playing for his country :(

Looking at MoHa & the wicket, I understand what sort of hopeless situation Cook would had been, had Azhar not suicide.

In 2005 and 2012 England had to chase a total of 170-190 in the final innings and looked dead set to chase it down.

Kaneria did the magic in 2005.
Ajmal and Rehman in 2012
Yasir in 2015?

I second this ! :yk

Go to bed btw you have work soon :P

lol, stayed up to see Hafeez's hundred and he almost gave me a heart attack :) He is always nervous in 90s. He asked for another pair of gloves just after 10 minutes in his innings, was sweating non-stop :)

"Pakistan needs a lead of at least 300 considering how well England batted on last day in previous Test..." It's some way off, Anees, but if Pakistan can get another big partnership going, they'll certainly look to bat England out of the match. When you're 1-0 up, there's no need to risk it

Cricinfo

I think you need 2 spinners from both ends. Pacers don't seem to be creating chances even when bowling well.

Lmaoo this is ridiculous

Younis Khan is prolly been like this for past year

Not really. He was doing fine in SL and against NZ, Aus.

Its been just this series and this match in particular where he has looked all over the place. Played the seamers fine in Dubai.

If ICC bans spinners altogether, we will struggle to retain our Test status; most of our batsmen will average below 30.

"Assuming it is his last Test match, to end up with an average of 50, Misbah needs to be 86* or 136 in case he gets out.

Not likely.

Can assure you if Misbah gets his runs to get his 50 avg secured, he will retire after this series.
