The problem is he leaves all the wicket taking fielding positions of Head open. Puts fielders wehree he hardly scores runs.

APart from Rohit all the captains in the world (including Windies) have done well against Travis head.

This match is setting up nicely, all I need now is aus score 350 plus. Both Kohli and Sharma not make any runs and India lose this match.

That should all out put a lot of pressure to kick both Sharma and Kohli from the test side for good.

A world-class bowling attack needs a genuine wicket-taking spinner like Kuldeep Yadav. Despite his game-changing abilities (yes, I know he’s injured), Kuldeep has been inexplicably reduced to a secondary option, seemingly penalized for his batting limitations rather than rewarded for his match-winning abilities with the ball, even when there is less support from the pitch.
 
Smith's fifties are ugly fifties even when in form. Today extra ugly. But i totally appreciate the committment he showed. He got beaten, edged. He was willing to battle it out. Scored a 50. These are the runs that you need to appreciate more than the runs you score when you are in great touch. This is one of a great 50 from Smith

Next new ball is key.

They will need Bumrah to do his magic and nip 2-3 wickets to squeeze the Australians. Otherwise, it is definitely going to fall apart for them leading to 400+.

No there was lot of pressure on Aus coming into this series and after Perth defeat.
Although I agree bowling has looked a bit harmless in this game and no captain can set fields for poor bowling.

The day Head scores against other captains as consistently as this you can talk. No i never rated Rohit as a Test captain. He shouldn't even be in the side let alone captain.
 
One who is a better all format batter then anyone India has ever produced and the other a better test batter then anyone India has ever produced.

He has play four test series against india before this one and none of them where he had scored any century and all series were lost by Australia. .he was walking wickets when india won back to back test series in australia .

Now he is dominating the india all thanks to clueless captaincy of Rohit and at the same time head is peak of his game.

Yes.That is just one thing. Strategy error. Against India he has scored runs only when Rohit is the captain. Ishant trapped him by bouncing him out in third man. Kohli was the captain back then.

Check his recent scores

0, 0, 1, 29, 21, 18, 11, 89. Then Rohit comes. 140, 103*.

These are facts lol yo uare trying to big him up. If he is as good as you hype him he should dominate every team. That is not the csae. Just check his runs recently. Does this look like the legend you make him out to be?

As I said, don't really care about what narrative Indians concocte now. I brought this up about Laxman and the 🔥 was blown through the roof.

Theirs no strategy error. Head loves owning India and Indians can't handle it. Hence endless narratives are coming into play. Same Indians who concocted flat track narratives about root to cover up the fact that he owned bumrah in his own yard

SO you have no answer. You are only focusing on the couple of success ignoring failures against other teams. If he is that good why is he failing against no.8th , no.7th ranked sides

He scored a 150 against England and dominated them in their own den just recently? He even rescuced Aus from sa in the semi final?

He even scored 90 something when bunrah was captain. It's just the other batters failed and he wasn't going to chase 500 alone.

Not root. He has been owned last few times. Head yes for sure.

Head is king. A few more good away performances vs other teams and he will go down as one of the goats.

Also rohit is a poor test captain. If he has an iota of respect for himself he should vacate the captaincy.

I have an unpopular opinion about 1st test.

Getting India all out in 1st two sessions of the test match was blessing in disguise. Had India survived 3 sessions of day 1, and Aus had to bat on day 2, They would have given them lead of over 200. Day 2 onwards was the best time to bat on that wicket.
