Second Test between Australia (445 & 89/7d) and India (260 & 8/0) ends in a draw as the 5-match series is level 1-1

My oh my, incoming tantrums from Indians.

I always back my boys smith and Travis. I believe when no one else does.

After perth who was throwing temper tantrum with all kind of excuses lol But we predicted Rohit will lose the game for us. It happened. But you were so confient Australia will win 5-0.

Simon Katich speaking during the commentary:

"That is unbelievable from Mohammed Siraj because an over before he had a man right in that spot (third man) and he's run in and bowled what they were planning without a fielder there. That is dumb, dumb cricket. Now he’s gonna put the fielder back down there. The horse has bolted, buddy,"

"That is dumb. Dumb cricket!"

This is why I have so much appreciation for Steve Smith as a Test batsman. True, he does not go after attacks like some of his contemporaries do. But he makes it up with his consistency and ability to score runs in difficult situations and conditions. Plus, while he doesn't dominate attacks, he doesn't score at a snail like SR like the likes of Dravid, Kallis and Cook did either.

He is very steely and serious about turning fortunes around unlike Kohli who has been chasing 8th stump line for the last 3 years.

It doesn't matter. I am one person. You lot are a collective hive.

A temper tantrum from a collective hive is more entertaining to watch.

Furthermore I got the last laugh. Where are all those smith won't perform comments 🤣.

We predicted rohit this and that lolololol. I remember each and every comment from you guys, most notably

You cannot categorically say that 2024 India under rohit will lose to classic Australia, you don't know Indian team like i do, we have broken the jinx and will smash any team in history. 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Rohit has every fielder on the boundary. How is bowler going to get wickets if they can't bowl more than a few balls bowl to one batsman

Only rain can save this bang average Indian team from a 4-1 thrashing, but Australia should be very disappointed over losing the Perth Test. They shouldn’t have allowed India to fluke that Test. That first innings batting performance was a collective nightmare.

This is just a match thread. Just talk about match. Classic australia who cares. They are not playing now.

Dude.. you have the habit of digressing way too much. This is just a match thread. Just talk about match. Classic australia who cares. They are not playing now.
Okay then what does Travis head's past stats have anything to do about this match?

Are past matches not irrelevant by default?

Well played my man, well played. You deserve this. All hail the greatest test batsmen of the modern era and the 2nd greatest aussie test bat of all time, Steven Smith

Now that is something I'll disagree. Greg Chappell is the second greatest Aussie Test batsman as well as overall Aussie batsman. He was also arguably the second best batsman of the 70's after Viv, although Viv made his debut in 75' and Chappell in 70'.

3rd khei lo? 4th khei lo? 5th khei lo?

He's top 5 aussie test batters of all time. I'm fine with any no from 2-5. As long as Steve smith is acknowledged as a goat and is rated >>>>> Pointing as a test batter I'm happy.

That's extremely true. He's better than the likes of Neil Harvey, Allan Border and Steve Waugh. Ponting? I'm not sure yet.

150 off 157 balls by Head - the second fastest 150 for Australia against India after David Warner's 128-ball effort at the WACA in 2012

I think Aussies should look to bat once here. Score 600 and then try to get 20 Indian wickets.

Pointing was a bunny in India. And he never reach prime Smith's 70 to 86 avg per year metrics.

Smith is the 2nd test batter I've seen to have a good record in every country after Sachin and maintain consistency in each country after Sachin as well. And this includes his form drop.

Furthermore Pointing was 100x worse at playing spin then Steve smith is. However yes Pointing plays pace alot better then smith.

Bunrahhas frequently exposed Steve smith in that 3rd offstump line which is something Pointing wouldn't be exposed on, infact most batters wouldn't as it's just a straight ball.

Its because Steve smith shuffles across he gets caught at awkward angles

There was a thread created on PP after a year or two of him making his debut asking whether he is the worst ever Aussie cricketer. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

That's because he made his debut as a spinner.

Australia bowling is way stronger as their back up options are too good. Also Indian batsmen are not patient enough to build innings like Pujara

Last time bowlers provided support. So it was easy for him. Siraj's form has been on the decline for a while. But he is friends and family qouta

God forbid, Bumrah doesn't suffer any serious injury before he retires. That's all I desire. If I were him, I'd spit over any form of T20 cricket and retire from that format, sparingly play ODI's, and concentrate on Tests.

But whom am I kidding! I'm not the one who'll miss out on the financial incentives.

I said it before and I'll say it again

Bumrah and Travis are the current kings of cricket.

Their my 2 favourite players at the moment with smith being my 3rd fav.

so i dont mind bumrah taking a 5 ver, and travis + Smith scoring centuries.

However I am concerned about india's bowling resources. Their setting up bumrah for a very early retirement.

I don't think this is easy pitch to bat on lol Smith did the hard part along with openers. WHen the ball got older Head made hey. Now the ball is new. Again something is happening

India believing only in Jassi Bhai, for now. A third wicket in three overs for Bumrah

In 2021 Australia made 369. India was 184/6 then Thakur and Sundar added 100 plus partnership to push the total to 323.

gabba has always been hard to bat you need to grind or counterattack to survive like windies showed the last year

All opposition team should hold a rally outside bcci office in Mumbai to continue rohit as non acting captain even if he retires by gods grace

How long until Webster is given a chance? Bashing the door down and Marsh simply hasn't delivered in tests in 2024. Pressure mounting for sure

Can India please discard siraj? I hate him for his attitude but performance wise what has this bafoon done for you guys in this test series?

You're carrying a rubbish player who will fine himself and most likely the team as well.

He is friend and family quota. HE is also a terrible fielder. Dropped head in the 70s.

he thinks he is the ronaldo of cricket but in reality in Antony

Broadcasters on TV like Hayden are suggesting Australia might have to consider declaring since rain is on the horizon on next three days. This is if Australia wish to chase a result. He agrees it sounds ridiculous but something to consider

Travis Head is inevitable. What a hero.

Aussies needs to bowl well, skittle india <200 and really crush their spirit

3 year ago at the same venues australian were also think about deceleration( On 4th day ) but they didn't and set 324 the Target ( After all out) for India and rest is history.

Australia will never going to declare in 2nd innings below 350 target against india due ro fear:kp

Bumrah with the new ball this series (first 20 overs with the ball)
40 overs
