Second Test between Australia (445 & 89/7d) and India (260 & 8/0) ends in a draw as the 5-match series is level 1-1

Cricbuzz just confirmed no play today....
Ah, bad. I was hoping to get enough play for result.

Looks like series will be 1-1 with last 2 tests to go.

Aus will be dissapointed to not seal the series in the first 3 tests or at least not take a lead.

Now door will be open for India. One good test and they retain the BGT.

First 40 overs are the important overs in this test. Pujara wore them out in 2018 and India capitalized on it. Same happened here for Australia here. India nowadays bat total of 40 overs. India misses someone like Pujara badly. Batting time.

Then Aus still a good chance in this test?

So after the rain, captain jack sparrow rohit decided to bowl jadeja from one end instead if akashdeep.one of his proud moments

Aus should just declare and have a crack at fragile Indian batting.

I predict Innings defeat for India. They are mentally weary. These days India doesn't bat more than 50 overs. Youngsters are also weighed down by these oldies

All Australian bowlers are well over 6 feet. They will get natural bounce as it is. Then if they put effort they will get more out of it. Rohit's negative energy is hurting India badly.

Good, now Aus bowlers can go hard at Indian batting line up. A decent chance to push for a win here if rain stays away.

Either side of 250 ish one partnership, Aussies lost 10 for 200 or so against basically 1.5 bowlers or may be 2; I think that’s the true reflection of the wicket and wicket is definitely faster today, which is basically day 2 wicket and it’ll crack further. Unless it rains for another full day & half, don’t see India saving this Test.

Rahul must always take first strike considering his better technique against the new ball. Don't know why our dumb team think tank can't see this

+1

Aus should win it unless it rains a lot.

So Virat practised for straight three days and worked on his backfoot game and what was the result of it? First ball in his innings at six stump and he chased it again.

Lol, Sunny was singing songs about how he went straight to nets after getting dismissed in the 2nd innings of Pink ball test.

He is trying to bring that old fire in his game, that's not possible because he is not interested anymore, he is playing for sponsors only.
He loses focus too often in his innings that was not the case before.

Lol another one bites the dust. Hahaha
Indians were saying they will win this test. LoL hahaha

Now he will score century on a flat track in dubai and after century his comments will be
( Actually I am not someone who will just play for the sake of it I am batman I play to win only sarrrrr)

Seeing the Aussie bowlers bowl here. How terrible were the trundlers Akashdeep and Siraj on this pitch.

Man , I dont know how you guys are so full of josh ! I'm just hoping Ind avoids a shellacking here !:D

A batting line up with mental midget klrahul, kohli, rohit & jadeja doesnt inspire any confidence at all to even bat 60 or 70 overs. Kohli will edge to slip as usual and then "stare" at the wicket as if it's a green top with wicked seam and bounce lol ! Sick and tired of these seniors hogging the places and depriving younger players.
As I predicted- kohli edging back , looking at the pitch and walked off.. the guy needs to be dropped for good.. and rohit and jadeja to follow after pant..ind can easily get bowled out for less than 150 here with Aus enforcing the follow on because of weather

For such an experienced accomplished player Kohlis indiscipline outside the offstump against the away swinger is shocking

Australia showed the perfect approach avoiding any shots and scoring just 100 runs in the first 40 overs by being patient and waiting for the ball to get older. Once the bowlers tired, they unleashed their attack, scoring their next hundreds in just 22, 16, and 19 overs to reach 300 in just 55 overs. Meanwhile, Indian batters poke at every delivery from ball one, displaying a complete lack of discipline. Why can’t they understand this simple thing? What is the coaching staff even doing? In these conditions, You should never play your shots freely until after the first 40 overs, unless the ball is on your pads.

After T20 World Cup win, Rohit seems to have forgotten how to bat., captain, field... etc. :danish

Someone needs to bump up that Gambhir coaching thread. He has been a disaster since he took over

BCCI needs to prostrate in front of Dravid/SHastri to bring them back.

120-130 overs may be enough to take 20 wickets. Stoppage will also work against batsmen.

You think Indian batsmen will surrender so easily ? I doubt , I think Indian lower order like jadeja , Pant , reddy will give good fight .

These players who are playing right now , would have played 95 % of them whoever would have been coach.

Fight?
You are looking at India all out under 130 in first innings and if rain stays away India will bundle at 200.

It would be a big blunder by Australia if they came to bat again. If they get the chance of follow on they should use it.

Virat should just retire now. He will struggle to hold on to even 45 average if he keeps going...

And the less said about Rohit the better. Hiding at number 6 lol...

Kohli has always been an average test bat except for that purple patch of 3-4 years.

Both of them are shameless to their core. There was no reason or form for them to have played the T20 WC but they still played. India won the cup in spite of them not because of them.

Im not sure if Rohit would have still sat foot on Australian soil had we been duly thrashed at Perth.

India should not agree to come back to bat today....this stop-and-start play is killing the concentration of the great Indian batters....it was only because of these rain breaks, kohli lost the focus and got out.

There’s no need to worry about LBW on this bouncy and flat Gabba pitch. Anything full on the pads can be easily driven down the ground, flicked, or on-driven. a good-length ball on the pads won’t trap you LBW like on previous pitches. Look at Smith, he got so many LBWs that went over the stumps. on any other pitch, he’d have been out cheaply. All you have to do is avoid anything outside off-stump and see off the first 40 overs, even if the score is less than 50. But no, they don’t use their brains.

How many overs from here would Australia need to get the last 17 wickets? Take a guess....

KL Rahul will have to do a Pujara here. The team should realize they need to play time, and hope rain saves them.

Saw this comment on espn "Nilesh: "No one is taking about KL's discipline and dedication to come in early to the continent and practice diligently. It has clearly reflected on his batting and stood out from rest of the team.""

So, KL was the only one who took time and effort to improve himself before the tour.. WHat did the rest do? We know Rohit did nothing...

This batting line-up is probably on par with the batting lineup we had for our '99-00 Australia trip except that time we at least had Tendulkar. On this trip, there is no one remotely close to his stature and calibre.

Why is Kohli so irresponsibly arrogant? He’s been getting out to the same shot early in his innings for so many years.
Driving on the up so early he must know better

This whole Indian team is so awful only one player is good that is ugliest action guy other than him they all are terrible.
