Second Test between Australia (445 & 89/7d) and India (260 & 8/0) ends in a draw as the 5-match series is level 1-1

Why is Kohli so irresponsibly arrogant? He’s been getting out to the same shot early in his innings for so many years.
Driving on the up so early he must know better
Because he is very overrated as a test bat.

Lol Rain break is always favour bowlers as they can get enough rest than come back fresh for another brust .

Entire day washout may favour india but not these shorts intervals
It breaks the momentum as well for both teams. India would love long stoppages.

Rahul was so so frustrated after the rain break. He was just starting to find his groove, timing his shots beautifully and hitting boundaries through the covers. Now, he has to reset and start from scratch all over again such a momentum killer.

Barring the 2021 knock against Australia at the Gabba and the Century against England, what exactly has Gill achieved in his test career? His technique for an opener is dreadful, if anything he has regressed badly since his debut in 2020/21.

Batsman has more disadvantage . It becomes harder for batsmen to settle down after rain breaks, where bowlers can recover even few bad balls but batsman can get out in just one ball due to lapse of concentration. This is Just basics things for cricket fans to understand .

He's so poor and overrated. I think he has never gone past 30 in his last 20 or so innings outside Asia

India would love the rain to never go away.

Tea Break meanwhile

Why would india be happy for rain?
Every match of this series is important for them, draw here would damp there chances more. Yes when we look at India's condition in this match they would love to just sit at balcony rather than playing and facing huge humiliation. But even they know they have to do something to make a match out of this.

Noooo.... a result is needed to expose some hacks

Chalo koi naa...
Australia will get them in the next match.

They have been humiliated badly in this one and may this humiliation continue for next two matches.

You'll get a result don't worry. It's start stop rain with excellent drainage. India will be bundled out quickly. Aus will enforce a follow on and will get rid of India dw

Josh Hazlewood is extremely accurate. He is the most dangerous of Aussie bowlers.

Nathan lyon makes this Aussie bowling line up weak.
He should be dropped, his time is up now.

Hazlewood is underrated.

Starc and Cummins normally get the most recognitions but Hazlewood is also pretty lethal.
Extremely underrated. He has 278 test wickets at an average of 24.50 which is very impressive. He is relentless and gets good bounce.
He is certainly better than starc.

Here comes the players out in the field... Game restarting... India would not like this

India going to escape with a draw but not great signs for the remaining two tests. How long will Bumrah continue carrying the bowling?

Lyon is the best spin-bowler in Australian conditions. I'm sure he will have a bigger role to play in Sydney.

So India got saved by rain today.

Day 3: Stumps - India trail by 394 runs

AUS 445
IND 51/4 (17) CRR: 3

Yeah he has been very good in australia but has been looking off color for some time now.

He might be done now but he can prove his critics wrong though.

He has barely bowled though. He bowled just one over in the last test. He's bowled just one over in this test too so far.

There are 2 days left 😹
1 day we can manage to survive. Afterall we have King Kohli, Prince Gill, Jaiswal, Kaptaan Rohit etc who I expect to come good in 2nd innings. Lightning doesn't strike twice.

Hopefully, luck will save us this time and we will go to Boxing Day being 1-1 in the series.

Humble pies for brothers @sweep_shot @mominsaigol as this is going a draw way but fortune favours the brave and we showed enough evidence of that in last 4 test series vs Australia.

Pies? India got owned and Indian fans are hiding behind rain as an excuse and calling it a brave move?

Fortune favours the Brave which is why we wanna rain away with a draw 🤡.

Everyone hides behind rain brother.

It’s a natural phenomenon. You can’t play cricket if it is raining and will have to sit in shade watching the day past.

Fortune favours the brave so inshallah will see you on Boxing Day with series 1-1. Hope it doesn’t sounds a scary feeling for fans given what happened 4 years ago and 6 years ago in Melbourne and Sydney. :djb

Day 3 Report:

The third day of the ongoing Test between India and Australia in Brisbane was cut short due to persistent rain. At stumps, India was struggling at 51/4, with KL Rahul (33) and captain Rohit Sharma (0) remaining not out. Australia's first innings totaled 445, and India's top order failed to deliver, resulting in a precarious position for the visitors. The rain interruptions were frequent, and eventually, play was called off after the sixth stoppage. India needs to score 246 runs to avoid a follow-on and currently trails by 394 runs.

Need to scored 250 even at 1 RPO to avoid the follow on than draw is most likely because Australia won't decelered without setting 400 runs due to fear of pant , Jaiswal and gill etc like last time .

Perfectly sums up the situation of Indian team.

What is the weather predictions for remaining two day? Is the rain prediction more than today or less? @Rajdeep
We need half a day more of rain on each day, then we are safe. The drainage system is also not that great in Gabba.

I think this test match will be a draw.

Looks really bad for both days. We need atleast 1 day to.be washed out as we can't trust our already washed up players.

If we can draw this test than our pathetic batting is passed the hardest challenged as from now MCG and SCG pitch will suit our batters more than Perth, Adelaide (Day night test )and Gabba.

We can Play two spinner with 3 pacers in remaining test so balance will be good .
:kp

Nah drainage system is outstanding . match can re start after just 20 minutes even with heavy rain
Today it was much lesser rain predicted but it was enough to stop.I hope if we survive this atleast rohit will retire before mcg and siraj will be gone.

I was just watching the highlights as couldn't watch live. These start stop rain interruptions didn't help Indian batters. Aussies were lucky in the sense that they got to bat full day without rain breaks and lapse in concentration.

Shows the Indian batting performance is in such bad shape, even the scoreboard wants to look away. :inti
Virat and Rohit needs to be retire immediately after this test ( But knowing our PR culture they will not) .

Gill ,Pant are not in great touch lately still i give them some benifits as they are still young players.

DSP Siraj need to be dropped as he is only showing useless agression instead focus on performing.

We need to Play proper 5 bowlers not some bits and pieces players as Bumrah alone can't do anything.

Jadeja is another useless selection now , he is already passed his prime likes Virat and Rohit.

Sundar/ Ashwin both should play next two test as MCG and SCG pitches offer some assistance for Spinners.

How the tone of some posters have changed drastically here:

From Tota ha Gabba ka Ghamand

Rain...Rain please come
Is this first time rain is disturbing the game?

A certain team is always depends on " Kudrat ka nizam" but when Indian fan's are need a favour from rain than it has problems for some certain posters just because India will be beneficiary .

Australia cricket board was Intensely scheduled gabba test at this time because they feared of Indian team if they schedule at the end of home summer.

Bumrah credits spirited Siraj for overcoming niggle in Brisbane Test

The Indian pace spearhead opened up on a tough first-innings outing for the bowlers in the third Border-Gavaskar Test against Australia.
While the Australian batters set an imposing first innings total in the third Test, Jasprit Bumrah produced a stern challenge with the ball, finishing with figures of 6/76.

But while Bumrah produced consistent breakthroughs in the first innings, removing the likes of Travis Head (152) and Steve Smith (101), the rest of the Indian attack struggled against the host batting lineup.

Mohammed Siraj, who was India’s standout performer during their historic win at this venue back in 2021, was unable to mount pressure with the ball in the first innings.

Siraj finished with figures of 2/97 from a total of 23.2 overs bowled. When asked of his take on his fellow pace compatriot, Bumrah lavished praise on Siraj for overcoming a fitness barrier to keep bowling in the first innings.

“In this game, I’ll give him credit, he had a little bit of a niggle but still he kept on bowling and helped the team because he knew if he goes inside and doesn’t bowl, the team will go under pressure,” Bumrah said.

“He’s got a great attitude and he’s got a fighter’s spirit that the team loves. I personally love that. He’s up for a fight and always gives his all for the team.”

Furthermore, on the bowling front, Bumrah added, “In terms of wickets and all, some days you’ll bowl well and the wickets will come. And on some days, you will not bowl well but the wickets will follow. It’s all money in the bank.

“That is the conversation that I’ve had with him: keep focusing on your stuff and the things you can control. Keep running in, keep having a smile on his face. You wanted to play Test cricket, you are doing that, your family is really proud of you. You’re doing something that not many have done before.”

2 days left and only 16 wickets.

If rain stays away, Aus will win it comfortably.

Aus has bowled 10-12 overs only and fully fresh and I see no reason to not take 16 Indian wickets in 2 days.

100 total overs will be more than enough.

Aus should be leading 2-1 after this match.

Have some shame and stop making excuses and own up that your team is getting smahed by the Aussies (insert K.P emoji here) all your obession with a certain team is very unhealthy
