The problem is fans don't understand test cricket... Regular batsmen cannot play like that. Edges are going left and right, no foot work and technique. Just don't look at boundaries. Plus right now they don't care if they got out next ball or play for another 30 mins... If batsmen does things like that, he will never be selected in the first place.

I understand test cricket , but when the bowler are bowling a lot of good balls one is bound to take you sooner or later. Good batsmen do not let bowlers dictate their terms , theytry to change their line and length by improvising which does not necessarily have to be a slog. Try watching pietersen and clarke. Rotation of strike is another thing. Do not let a bowler to set up up batsman by allowing him to bowl all 6 deliveries at him. Batting planning is missing. Survival should also have some purpose.

very dissapointing stuff. Farhat is a exp player and he has played in such conditions before, he should be given chance, too sad taufeeq got injured or else he would have played well here. IF farhat comes in either Younis or Azar has to make way for him. Also i agree with most of you. Tanvir Ahmed and Iran should be back in next test instead of gull and rahat. farhat should bat at 3 because its obvious hafeez will only play as opener.

I think the only way to practice playing against a very aggresive Styn is to go into the nets and ask the coach to through rocks at you (from 11yards) so you can practice ducking diving and leaving (It worked for the great Mohammad Ali with his reflex's).

Well years of cricket in sub-continent, coming for this tour with zero preparation it doesn't happen overnight. There has been hardly any preparation gone into the toughest tour in recent history of Pakistan.
