Oh India are definitely favorites from here but SL still have a chance now, especially if Sanga or Mahela makes a hundred.

some one will need to do a Smiffy

Well Sanga and Mahela couldn't...can one of the younger batsmen step up to the plate?

Should have had Vandort,,,,,,,,,, damn it.....4 down going into lunch Lankans would be have been pretty much gone and dusted...

ofcourse, Ajantha Mendis 200 and Murlitharan 50, could seal the deal for Lanka

I think its all over for Srilanka now.it has to be a miracle now if they can pull of a victory.
THE MAN WHO HAS WON THIS MATCH SINGLE HANDEDLY IS SEHWAG.what a performance from him.he is a true match winner.

couldnt get my eyes off the screen so wasnt typing, what rivetting stuff

ahh, revenge is sweet :)

Did anyone hear Waqar say 'it was a good shot though' after Mahela was caught? :)))

I wouldn't write off Srilanka yet.
Need a few more blows.

All credit so far goes to the Indian bowlers, because the Lankans were not looking to play their shots. Zaheer and Ishant extracted the wickets, they had to work for them, and were not just handed to them. I wouldn't even say that the Sri Lankans batted badly. Just some superb bowling.

India are on top and they should go onto win the 2nd test. But you never know, maybe a youngster can step up and play a innings of a lifetime. India also have trouble removing the tailenders.

i always thought Sharma would shine in this series.

well one good spell doesn't qualify for 'shining in the series'

Rick its highly unlikely that SL will win now.80-20 in india way.I think its just a matter of time now for indians to take remaining wickets.Harbhajan is a kind of bowler who can become unplayable when he is on song and his performance in 1st ing and wicket condition on day 4 is a nightmare for SL inexperience batting line up.

At this rate it will be tea on day 17 before they get to 150

Michael Vandort scored 10 runs from 60 balls.

Almost as good as Razzaq

my god :O i just waked up and i saw there score 269 or something ( score of india) so i was happy :) but now i see that they cant even play those fast bowlers from india so that would be a lost from sl i think... what you guys think? sl wil :) win or lose :(

India yet again proved, " Late starters" in the series. known for loosing first test and strong comeback after that. no wonder, if srilanka endup loosing series.

25.6 Harbhajan to Dilshan, no run, flat and full outside the off stump, Dilshan reaches for it and looks to drive, gets an outside edge, Karthik puts it down, another catch dropped!!

:))

Hold on to that thought Dinesh Karthik is dropping catches left right and centre, Sri-Lanka may win this one...

Romali how does it feel after being getting "AKMAL".
We bear him for two years and you guys are fed up in just two test matches.

How many has Karthik dropped so far?

And Sri Lanka, if they get another 100 run partnership here, we have a game on.

I can truly understand your pain if I am feeling this bad after just 2 matches.. I think we should have a big welcome cermony for Dhoni, this series has truly made me realise just how important he really is and so glad to have him in our side..

The ball is turning and bouncing as well.Lankans are putting up a little bit of fight and that is from Dilshan once he is gone and it will be matter of couple of overs for indians.
In the mean time a Dog has a crush on Tendu and followed him.

:)) Please, just give me an estimate. 5? 10? 15?

just this innings, btw.

Atleast 3 catches and 1 simple stumping missed so far in this test match...

Dilshan is playing positive cricket.has played some stunning shots so far.
Arun was sharing the turtles history. He really love turtles.
Wondering whats the reason behind this.

Wettimony from Sri Lanka sends us this chuckle: "This is divine intervention. Time for Sachin to bowl...why else would the dog go around Sachin and not others?"

Karthik caught one ball and he has wasted a review as well.looks like he got excited that he hold on to the ball.

probably he wanted to make sure that he indeed held the ball in the gloves :)) :))

Ishant gets Dilshan. I have to admit - Sharma has been excellent today. Really good bowling and none of the Lankans have seemed comfortable.

naw i'd say hes just getting lucky is all

Ah well now its safe to say that its over.

Well bowled India, especially Sharma.

Chaminda Vaas can bat a bit, and a total of at least 30 can be expected from the tail.

If these two carry on, who knows?

What was the need for a slog sweep you bird brain!?

Sri-Lankans acting like it is 20/20 Ranatunga is not going to be happy...Headlines:::"Ranatunga 'now' slams Sri-Lanka for playing 20/20 style cricket.. :D

Congrats to our boys on the win, we dropped so many catches this match would have lost had it been against OZ... Nevertheless well done !!!!!!!, I was here when the ship sank now I am here happy to see we are back floating again... Lets hope we can seal the series; will be a long shot but we can do it. However Karthik & Ganguly have to go and Rohit & Patel has to come in..

All set up nicely for what should be a great finale to this test series.

India were the better balanced team and deserved winners today. I think the Lankans need to look at dropping Vandort and the keeper. Get Sangakaara back in as keeper and perhaps a batting all rounder at number 7.

On this pitch, IRfan pathan can be useful in serving pies all day to the sl batsmen. They would own him. Add to that, murali and mendis would own him.

Why cant we just play RP singh?

Yeap RP would be handy, however I was stressing the need for Irfan is because he is a much better batsmen and athlete at this stage than Ganguly is now. Plus his pies are much better than Ganguly's, so it is simple really..

Ganguly doesnt bowl every match though. Its only one or two bad games. He'll bounce back. If I really want to give someone a chance,it would be badrinath.

Nope no chance he will even make it to the Indian bench, sad as it seems as he is very talented. Badrinath is the Asim Kamal of India both very talented only Asim played a few games but Badrinath may never play one.

Ayyooo, Alliyaa you werent meant to see that post :)) ...

Don't know why you love Ganguly so much. He has been our best bat since he returned, barring Australia.

Nice win. Sehwag was brilliant and Bajji and Sharma backed him up with their bowling beautifully.

Well played India and a well deserved win. This makes the final test match very interesting!

My suggestions:
Karthik - MUST be dropped, there has to be a better keeper and batsmen...
RP - get him in for ZAK
