It is better to give up sometimes when there are greater goods.

Also, ask yourself. Why did Russia decide to do operations in Ukraine? What provoked them? Once you answer this, you may get a clearer picture.

I’ve moved away from the BBC’s reporting of this conflict and been following the war via Al Jazeera, and yet it still seems to me that Russia is doing rubbish in it.

As for Russia, this war has given them a reason to implement laws to suppress any political threats. Large numbers of these dissidents or those that don't agree with Putinism have fled the country which is a huge win for Putin. My point was your PM is a warmonger parading as some sort of liberal saviour. Not sure why NZ is evening getting involved or taking sides ? Putin offered a ceasefire but was rejected by Zelensky. A lot of Ukrainians who are not paid mercenaries, Nazis or frankly idiots are getting sick of Zelensky. The major of Kyiv , the former boxer has pretty much fallen out with him. Dont be suprised if he is killed, bombed soon , the blame being placed on Russia etc.

50% of Ukraine is in the dark, you can check Google Earth at night. I think their problems are so huge, asking for more and more has to be some sort of corruption and money laundering , to secure their futures when this ends with a Ukrainian defeat. Capturing Soledar while Bakhmut fighting continues is a genius move by Russia. Thousands of Ukrainian troops have been killed in Bakhmut in desperation to keep this strategic town but now after taking Soledar , Russia will cut off the area and wipe them out.

Dozens fire less than 2 weeks ago. They fired many a couple of weeks before that too. In fact they've been firing regularly and in the order of 50-150 missiles a pop for several months. Why not admit you were wrong, MSM was wrong - the Russians will not be running out of missiles anytime soon.
