West Indies 14/0 (11.0 ov)

Windies won't to actually go the way Pakistan went with their batting and look to bat out time instead of looking to score.

Can't see anything in the pitch for the fast bowlers. Yasir has to again give us wickets. If Yasir doesn't fire, we could be in for a long day.

Need something to happen this session....Let's see how we react to this cautious approach by the WI....

Basically we missed another opportunity to win a series against WI.
Misbah should ask for another series to leave on high note. SK doesn't mind

Half an hour since the game started.

And international Pakistan match.

11 posts in the thread - this being the 12th.

The slowness of this thread is an accurate representation of the match.

How is it that Rameez Raja lays into Pakistan when we were going so slow, but WI has been "managing it well" when they're probably going slower . . surely, you gotta have the same standard

It's about the team bro.. You can't compare Misbah's men to West Indian inexperienced youth..

He won't complain about the Windies run rate until someone else says something about it, then he'll go into overdrive about how terrible this is.

If someone says something remotely positive then Rambo will go all out with the praise for the brave, disciplined, gritty batting.

He doesn't have an opinion of his own, he just parrots whatever others around him are saying. The last thing he heard was Fazeer and Bazid talking about whether Pakistan should entertain, so he'll continue to complain about Pakistan until someone says something new.

Pathtic batting from WI.

Barring single session collapses in 2nd innings, this will be a draw.

You think someone can bat slower than Misbah, its Brathwaite.

Change of ends results in a wicket in the first over for Yasir.

First wicket falls and more should follow, WI can't bat all day.

Sarfraz to Hetmyer: "Hit him again, hit him again. Show your class."

Not often you say this with Sarfaraz behind the stumps, but that was a great catch!

He has been good in recent times.

Even people's favorite Saha dropped few catches in Ind - Aus series. No keeper is at the level of Prasanna Jayawerdene these days. Sarfi is almost as good as others in recent times.

Another player who 'showed intent' gone cheaply :broad

Yeah, legside takes are really hard. Gimme a sec and I'll have a gif of it

60th catch by Azhar Ali. Whether or not Azhar breaks Younis' runs record, he's going to break Younis' catches record for sure.

Completely disagree with Yasir's mode of attack from around the wicket to the right hander . . first of all, this pitch doesn't have the amount of rough as last time . . secondly, it takes away forms of dismissals . . you can clearly see braithwaite becoming a bit loose because of his strike rate . . you need to keep all forms of dismissal in play . . plus, Yasir had pinned him down from over the wicket!

Yasir needs to bowl over the wicket to the right handers!

Wicket is wearing. I cant see West Indies being able to bat 100 overs in their first innings.

As long as they keep batting at such a rate, they are digging themselves into a hole.

This pitch is a joke. These batsman are just defending and wickets will be very hard to come by.

Classic Misbah in this match. First in batting and now in captaincy killing his main bowler.

Oyy hoyy what a ball!!!
:out
Awesome leg-break
Yasir on :aag
3 wickets for him
:yasir :yasir :yasir
And that's lunch

Thank God this Brathwaite is gone.

Now at least the match will move ahead towards a result.

123 balls for 29 runs is ridiculously slow batting.
:salute

Change of end pays off for a second time this morning. Windies under a bit of pressure now but that super long batting order has done a great job for them this series, is today the day the tail fails to wag?

Classic Misbah in this match. First in batting and now in captaincy killing his main bowler.

Sky showing highlights of one of my favourite Tests - West Indies v England at Lord's in the 2000 Wisden Trophy.

Ambrose was brilliant even though he was on his last legs.

Watching this Test so far feels like watching a Goods Train with screechy wheels come to a slow stop

This game has draw written all over it, no way Yasir alone can dismiss WI twice without any support from other bowlers, regardless WI has a long tedious batting lineup and there is not much time left to take 20 wickets. In addition, we'll have to bat again probably tomorrow to put up a significant total on board to take WI win out of equation, which will subtract a big chunk of available time in Test match required to dismiss WI in second innings, the only way a result can be enforced is to bat at a faster pace to propel the scoreboard followed by a declaration, leaving enough time to bowl WI out second time around, something highly improbable judging from our dispirited performance in first innings. Therefore, the only probable result with a high chance of manifesting from the current standing of the game, is a boring draw.

Aakhri test hai achay se jaanay do yeh naa ho retirement wapis lelain keh kar ke we want to finish it on a high. :))
Well, it doesn't matter as long as they persist with him. This kid's a champ in the making. His aggression and intent to score reminds me of Lara.

You got that almost right..

Watching this test is like watching a goods train with screechy wheels almost coming to a stop but then the operator speeds it up again and then slows it down again on and on...

If you want someone to hate test match cricket, ask them to watch this match. Specifically the parts where Misbah is batting.

What would this Pakistani attack be without Yasir...

Amir is equally pivotal and he's miles ahead of any other pace bowler we currently have, him and Yasir form the core of our bowling battery, the rest are simply garbage both in spin and pace departments, without these two our depleted bowling attack will be rendered hopeless and ineffective.

This is the most dangerous partnership. Need to get Roston Chase out cheaply.

oooof, brave leave to the delivery out of the front of the hand

Poor strategy here - Yasir is bowling with 7-2 field, which is forcing him to bowl out side off

Inviting the batsmen to hit against the spin on a pitch that is turning

One positive from this series is that Hasan Ali and Mohammad Abbas already look up a step up from the mediocrity that Wahab, Rahat, and Imran were providing test after test.

Oi! Take that back :rahat

This match is fitting farewell to the MisYou, Epic Tuk Tuk from both team, terrible wicket, sort of kind of test Cricket MisYou love to play all those years...For audience the only interesting thing is what commentators are saying every now and then...There is a reason test cricket is dead in both PAK and WI
